My right arm and hand no longer work, I have 5 percent use of my left hand and am not able to lift it high enough to even try to hold it in my mouth. with 1 finger and 1 thumb I can operate a mouse by sliding my hand around. I have muscular dystrophy, it slowly kills of all your muscles until you have no lung or heart muscle left. average life span 27, I hit than 20 years ago, and I tell my doctor it's because I have smoked most of my life.

God Bless you Alvin.. and welcome. This is a great community. I know the forum members will help you find something that works for you. You may also want to post in the Pay It Forward Thread. Lots of people started with auto batteries and no longer use them, maybe some nice forum members will donate some of their no-longer-used auto batteries to you?

I had an uncle with Parkisan's Disease and remember how debilitating that was to watch him sit in a wheel chair and constantly tremble! Apparently you were intent on being a survivor by keeping a positive mind set which of course a big help.

One of the reasons for suggesting the usb passthrough battery you saw linked before is that they are automatic in the sense that the current is there at all times while the cartimizer or with the 510 likely clearomizer the vapor is right there as soon as you draw since the usb bus is always active. But the one drawback is having a wire attached that plugs into a usb port directly or into a self powered hub. You would need a hub that includes an ac adapter not drawing on a port only especially if you have more then one thing plugged into the usb hub itself.

As for automatic batteries that brings you back to the one you are seeing replaced or the smaller 808 type cigarette sized with some made to look just like a regular .... due the filter colored cartimizers and white batteries. With the Bloog batteries like many brands the 102mm batteries last longer on a charge then the 78mm and 65mm lengths. For the best vape now however their clearomizers(1.0ml, 1.6ml) with the 808 thread for those and the new 650 manual the best vape is unfortunately with the manual.

The 650 size alone typically sees a manual battery since very few of the larger sizes see Auto not manual. The vape is usually the best when pressing the button and waiting a few seconds to see the eliquid heated up a little before drawing to get the most out of it. The automatics of course require the longer draw to get he vapor going.

Fortunately Ego has about the only good 650mah automatic battery to be found! On each search so far in just looking around Ihave been coming up with the Ego or Joye Ego 650mAh automatic as the item found. They average about $15-$20 per battery as long as you don't need the charger as well where you then have to get everything usually best priced in a kit. One place has it marked down $5 at eGo 510 Automatic Battery

That also comes in the 1100mAh size for $2 more in automatic you can look over at eGo Battery Automatic 1100mAh | eGo T battery

Well I'm not the type to give up but I am a doer it is hard when 95 percent of your body doesn't work. I hate relying on others yet I cant even feed myself. Life has been hard but God blessed me with 2 good parents for 30 years that cared for me but wouldn't let me be lazy. Living in a nursing home where Independence is not encouraged has probably been the hardest, I don't fit their box. I have made a lot of friends through through the internet on skype all over the world. Here's some of my pics Picasa Web Albums - Alvin Koffman and home page ka9qlq

I really don't need at big battery as I don't leave my desk very much anymore. I just need something that is automatic and won't get gunked up like that last battery. if I get the 5 amp usb power supply and a usb cord I could make a variable volt battery eliminator usng diodes and this 510 Auto Switch

Hay would this help? 510/901 Aluminum Drip Shield [Drip Shield] - $4.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

That is a protection to prevent leliquid that may leak from getting onto and into the atomizer and burning that out. You'll notice the word shield is used there as a protection option. Now as far as automatics the usb passthrough has a usb cord while the rechargable batteries may see a 3 way battery availablef for auto, manual, and passthrough settings. The passthrough works when plugging the battery into a usb port to recharge using usb current as the power source. Bloog has a Trifecta 3-in-1 battery you can look over that uses their Aurora cartimizers for a smaller size that offers both auto and passthrough options. Automatic Electronic Cigarette Battery | Manual Electronic Cigarette Battery | 3-in-1 Cigarette Battery

The KR808D automatics depending on brand often see the longer 100mm plus sized batteries like 102mm, 140mm even longer that use a cartimizer for that brand while there are some tanks with the 808 thread. Unfortunately the finding here when going to use clearomizers on the 808 type battery was the manual provided the actual best vapor since the press and hold of the buttom allowed a preheat of the liquid before you took a draw.

The larger auto batteries will support clearomizers and tanks for the all day type vape however. The 510 passthrough looked like an working option there since that would accept clearomizers and tanks while the detailed information as far as any resisitance value problem is unknown. That was only one brand there.

Bloog has their KR808D type 3.6v as well as 5v passthrough used here at the desk that take the 808 caritmizers while other brands carry both KR808D and 510 type passthrough batteries in different sizes. Ego and Joyce Ego have 650 and 1000mah passthroughs seen at E cig USB Pass-Throughs For All Starter kits

Since only you will know what will work out best all anyone can do here is point you at what options are available for automatic and passthrough types. Hopefully someone here can point you right at the one that will be the absolute best for you! :toast:

Same to you! I just ordered some of the Vision 3.5ml clearomizers to go for the larger size over having a number of 1.6ml by the same brand for the VAMO and the eGo C-Twist 650 kit on order.

The other clearomizer I was looking at was also 1.6ml but with a detachable tank section where you can easily swap one tank for another while leaving the same atomizer inplace. That also means when either atomizer or tank is worn you can replace each separately for a lower price over the one piece models. "Out of Stock" of course! :(

The method for cleaning as far as using a paper clip to remove the cap of the atomizer/cartimizer inside is much like removing it for a refill on a cartimizer. But while some will toss a bunch of cartimizers in boiling water and then set out in the sun for several to dry out this is much faster. I already keep a larger clip anyways to open cartimizers on the smaller KR808D type batteries but need to get of the same to hand out to some friends just getting started recently.

Since I was unable to edit an earlier post I thought I would let you see what I meant when referring to one of the tanks I had tried out on the VAMO I use here. While the cam didn't take the best picture you can still the tank portion separated from the base that still sees the cartimizer/atomizer stuck in it!

You will likely need a magnifier since I had to use the PaintNet program to reduce it down in size. When refilled a second time once and put back together it still hasn't leaked at all but... no thanks! I'll stay the other tank or clearomizers!

Whew!!! I thought I screwed something else up. I'm amazed the wicks work that good on top coils. Guess I'll try a bottom coil someday but I LIKE my Vision CE5 and clean up's easy.
How to clean a CE5 a.k.a. Vision Ego Clearomizer a.k.a. Stardust - YouTube

The CE4 is the first thing that my daughter will actually use on a continual basis. The little cig-a-likes are cute. But, it's too much trouble for her to know when to fill them. She won't keep it up. But, with the CE4 and CE5 it's easy to tell when they need to be filled and very easy to fill (no syringe).

It's just getting better and better.

Ironically I ave that exact same size paper clip right in front of me for the smaller carts I fill or refill used to try out new flavors. If a flavor is found to be "too swet for comfort" on the smaller 808 blanks on the 808 automatics then I toss into a clearomizer for the 808 manual or on the 650mah if not VAMO. Some may not make it to the VAMO however if they don't pass on the 650mah there! Some simply end up on the 102mm manual with clearomizer or 54v usb passthrough in a refillable cart until used up.
