my wife has a provari, and right now we are quite unhappy with it. all of the electronics seem to function, the led screen functions. the problem we are having with it, it eats atomizers. i put 2 brand new atomizers on the unit and it killed them both almost instantly. if you attempt to read the resistance of the atty, it gives a number for a short time and then it states "OP" and the atty is dead after that. im guessing OP means "open". with the stupid expensive price of the provari, we were expecting to get several years out of it. it is literally the most expensive pv on market and it has let us down. this is after we just bought an additional battery for the stupid thing, now i dont know what to do with a brand new battery. this provari is only 4 months old. i have had much better luck with my epower which costs a small fraction of what the provari costs.

by the way voltage is at 3.8v, hardly enough to kill a good functional atty

Hrmmm....could be a bad batch of atties? I am sorry you've ran into some bad luck ad356.

I thought I heard something about the electronics of the Provari not being very compatible with certain atties...mine is almost a year old and I do go through atties quick it seems. I often wonder if its because of the Provari, as even my io6 atties seem to start tasting bad in less than a week...though I always attributed this to 100% VG and they are still usable for a long long time.

I'd be curious if anyone else has even slightly similar thoughts/concerns.

Your not keeping the Attys wet enough, do it again and put 8 drops in the Atty, also prime the new Atty with a good 8 drops also before use and also when you check the ohms it will fire for a few seconds so you want juice in it when you do this, just try it, otherwise its your Attys, not the Provari, got 2 of them and they run great, You also didnt say what Atty's you are using ad356 ?,,, also what happens when you run say a 2 or 3ohm Boge Carto or any carto for that matter on the Provari ?

First, experiment with different equipment. ie atomizers, cartomizers, perhaps a spare ego, ect, to establish exactly what the problem is. If the ego doesn't pop those atties immidiately, it's the Provari. If cartos work fine, it's the atties.

Second, contact Provape. Their customer service is fantastic, and they won't hesitate to help you to solve the problem. If your wife's Provari is only 4 months old, the included warranty is there for this very reason. The Provari should give you an ideal vape for a given voltage, the same time, every time. If it doesn't than there's something wrong.

Give them a chance and they'll fix it! :)

Best of luck, and do keep us posted!

Did you get any vapor at all out of the atties? Maybe you have a marginal contact on the positive lead, atty not actually dead, just not enough contact to get good current flow?

(I use a different mod, but at least with cartos there's huge variability, sometimes you get stuff with just plain cruddy contact. I keep adapters around since they seem to provide better consistency.)

Hi Ad356,

We would be happy to check it out if you think there is something going on with the device. Just send us a email and we will arrange for a checkup.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. I have had my first provari for nearly a year now and it has performed flawlessly. I recently purchased a second one to have as a backup and it also performs flawlessly. I've never had a reason to contact customer support, but everyone I've heard of who has had problems has nothing but good things to say about the support they received from Provape. Give them a chance to help you out with this.

Did you ever end up contacting CS to get this resolved? They really are great at supporting their PV. Thats what the warranty is for! If you really don't know what to do with the new battery or don't care to try and fix the Provari, then I am sure if you posted in the classifieds someone would buy it off you. Heck I am looking for a new Provari... post and I will buy lol.
