Noisy Cricket Question

Considering the purchase of a Noisy Cricket.
My question:
Can I just throw a tank on, for example, a TFV4 with the standard 0.2 ohm triple burner coil, and be done with it, or do I have to use RDA's or a tank with a rebuildable coil?
I don't build my own, don't really have an interest in building my own.
As for dripping ... not a viable option for me. I'm a truck driver, not a desk jocky.

First off, you need to learn ohms law and battery safety, and as the Noisy Cricket is a direct-to-battery/faux hybrid mod there's need to be extra careful. In no way is a series faux hybrid a good choice for a first mech. With that .2 ohm coil you'll be drawing way more amps than any battery can handle and risk having the mod blow up in your face. Add the risks of a faux hybrid to that - possibly shorting the battery to the atty - and you're in real dangerous territory.

Definitely not the device for you with your current knowledge level and equipment choice.
0.2 ohms on a noisy cricket, not allowing for VD and battery sag is 42 amps and 350 watts.
Your atomizer bursts into flames briefly before your batteries go off like cheap bottle rockets.
Good thing you asked eh?

Right on point.
The NC is a series mech with a direct to battery top cap.
Not for the uninformed vaper.
Also the TFV 4 isnt safe to use on direct to battery mods.
The pin doesnt extend far enough to be safe.

That said, awesome screen name, OP.

What the NC is, is a way to get up to a (relatively) safe 200 watts of of unregulated power out of a mod the size of a box of matches.
You could use it with a tank that used premade coils, but the 510 pin on the tank would have to safe to use with the direct to battery connector on the mod. Also you would need to select a coil head of sufficiently high resistance to match their recommended wattage range.

You CAN in theory, but I will never recommend using coil heads with mechs. Especially direct to battery series mechs.
Thats just asking for trouble in a big way.

I have two Noisy Crickets and run a ToBeCo Super Tank Mini,Aspire 1.0 Ohm coil with two Samsung 25r batteries in both of them....It is a med warm vape, but You will go through the juice fast!....VC

The aspire coil heads are quite popular in videos and news reports of venting batteries and exploding mods when paired with a direct to battery device.
The positive contact can move within the thin rubber insulator.

Not advisable.

Do You read before You post? The Super Tank Mini has a solid positive post, with no thin rubber insulator. And it is not the Aspire coil HEAD that causes the hard short,in all of the venting and explosions it is the tank that has a short positive pin causing the problem....VC

This is a photo of a supertank mini from Tobeco.

As you can clearly see, the positive pin barely clears the threads of the 510 fitting.

Thats not advisable with a direct to battery device.

Interesting.
Looks like poor quality control if there is that much variation.
Again, i cant advise it.
Its not safe.

Keep in mind, VC, Im not telling you not to use your atty anyway you want.
You are an adult.
I just cant advise the use of that atomizer with the Noisy Cricket to others.
It would be irresponsible of me.

There needs to be threads in a 510 connection if I'm gonna put it on a 510... Strong threads, I want to be able to adjust the pin with a flathead screwdriver and mash the pin on my counter with No movement haha

The rule I use: If the 510 pin has a rubber insulator...I won't use it on a hybrid device. If it has a peek insulator...good to go if the pin protrudes.

What if the pin protrudes but gets pushed in easily? My Horizon Arctic tanks are like that, it sticks out but goes in if pressure is applied
