Hi all... I'm a long-time lurker, having more success with my PV than I expected. I was not trying to quit - I was a hard core smoker for 30+ years, couldn't quit no matter what I tried and figured it was just impossible for me. I would have been happy just to smoke less than I was... It's now a month since I got my PV and haven't touched a cigarette since. I actually walked around with a pack of cigs in my purse for 2 weeks thinking I was going to have one eventually... but I just didn't, and finally tossed them out. I'm starting to believe I really did quit smoking :).

I had started with an Ego and quickly moved on to a REO mini. I like it. <3 I have no idea what I'm doing with the "squonking" but I keep trying. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon.

SO HAPPY to be free of the cigs! This forum has been a great resource for me, I can't tell you how many times I've been here to read up on gear or look for answers to various questions. Thank you forum for being there!

Welcome aboard! *crossing fingers for only a few Lake Effect Events this year*. Great to see someone else from the North Shore here.

Since you've been lurking you already know the deal about never having to feel like you're asking a dumb question.

Always like hearing about other people who have put down the coffin nails. Not easy, even with the VPs, still feel like hell while you detox but makes it better than cold turkey or with the useless NRT.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome! "Stinkies" - I love it - my new favorite vocabulary word. Also hoping for minimal Lake Effect Events, Running Wolf. A number around zero would be ok with me :).

I'm sure the old-timers around here are used to being smoke-free but for me it's earth shattering every time I think about it. Now if I could just get on top of the burning/flooding squonking madness with my atty's I'll be vaping like a pro!

Hi deluxe, Welcome to ECF. Look to make sure you have a tiny bit of clearance from the tip of the inside tube to the bottom of the bottle and it should mostly auto feed. If it doesn't have that clearance, give the bottle a very gentle small tug........Also a bottle at least 3/4 full will help with the auto feed.

Welcome REOnaut!! :)

I did the same thing...started with an eGo and moved on to a REO Mini about a month later. Also a 40 year hard core smoker, who feels like I accidentally quit and got my life back. Pretty freaking amazing. :)

Squonking takes some practice. My best advice is:

If you are using a 510, squeeze lightly until you just begin to see a glimmer of juice in the holes of the overflow well. When you release, it will disappear. Short unpowered hit, and you are good for 5-8 nice vapes.

For a 306, the "blind squonking" method works best. Squeeze the bottle lightly and suck on the drip tip until you feel a small amount of resistance or hear a light gurgle. Short unpowered hit. If you have a clear drip tip, you should just see a sheen of liquid on the top of the atty. (If it is half-way up the bridge/mesh or more, it's flooded...blow it out). Also now good for 5-8 nice vapes.

Drop by the REO forum Reos Mods when you get your 5 posts. There is always someone there to help.
