Hi All

Im Maz from London.

I found my self searching the net to find some sort of answer and came across your forum. After reading post i hope some of you guys can point me in the right direction.

Iv been a cigarette smoker for 20 years, have to give it up, and am trying to find the right e-cigarette for me.

I know that im not going to be asking alot of the right question, i hope to learn along the way.

I had a friend buy me the same one he was using. A "provog venture" P1 Liquids (tobacco Flavors) 12mg from white fog.

Im having difficulty with it.

On every drag i take its like a burning taste, very harsh. Iv even coughed (which i never do with cigarette). Really harsh on my through. Iv had light spells after a few pull (is this normal when starting to use these).

Iv been told that i cannot take deep pulls on the provog as it will burn the heating element.

After searching the net iv discovered i might be what they call a "Lung inhaler".

I dont really know if this is me.

Iv found it very difficult to buy off the net as there just so many different types, i dont have a clue of what/which one to buy.

I would appreciate some direction.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome Maz!

You talked about your liquid, but you didn't give any details about your device (what kind of battery, what kind of atomizer - the thing that vaporizes the liquid for you to draw?) It's possible that the coil in the atomizer is heating too quickly and burning the juice, or it's possible that your getting a "dry hit" (which basically means very little, if any, liquid is getting vaporized, and your drawing in "burnt air")

I am not sure how involved you want to get, and if there are good vape shops that can help you at first in your area. Some form of DNA30 with a Kayfun or russian 91 style on top and you will get all the vape and lung inhale you want with good flavor. There is a little learning curve hence the shop around you would help. You tube is your friend. Here is one of many reviews from a guy on your side of the pond. Best of luck. You can definitely get all the vape you want without a burnt taste. If you get a burnt taste you will learn how to fix it.:)

Hello Maz.

Many people find e-cigs harsh at first. The easiest way around the problem is to adjust your inhale. I only inhaled into the mouth, then lungs for the first year or so, now it makes no difference as I'm used to the PG and VG vapour.

As for your kit, I would suggest avoiding whitefog with immediate effect. It's just all major league BS I'm afraid. There are items on their website which are two or three times as expensive as they need to be. Even the "evod" clearos are more expensive than many places with the so-called "price reduction". Please, don't shop there anymore.

Luckily, whitefog offer 6 months warranty on the battery part of your e-cig, so that's not a bad buy.

Change your draw technique, try a better clearomizer and see how you go.

The "crystal" clearo on yours is (presumably) a basic disposable which will last a short time and, yes, they won't take chain/hard vaping at all. It's an entry-level tank which is not great. The "P1" they sell for £3.99 is a GS-H2, you can buy 7 for £8.50. and the so-called "heating system" is actually a replacement coil head. These are also available for less than £1.

If you get really stuck, please ask on AAEC UK.

Good luck. :)

Hello
This is how I do it it may work for you ?
I use only a Kanger 3 mini tank with the dual coil , it just works great not to say others don't work as good but this works for me.
Use only Vg USP juice with organic flavorings .
I started out with 36mg juice and now down to 6mg l would like to get off the nicotine ,I may still vape lol

Hello and welcome.

I agree with Dinger. As it doesn't look like your battery is variable voltage, you will not be able to "dial it down". If you are getting a burnt taste (we call those "dry hits"), if usually means your wick cannot pull the eliquid fast enough to keep up with your battery. Take a sharp draw (or two) on your drip tip (without engaging your battery). This will pull more eliquid into the coil so that it will be available when you draw and press the battery button.

You will get the feel of this over time and develop a sense of how often you will need to do this to avoid "dry hits". The PG/VG ratio of your eliquid also comes into play. VG is thicker than PG .

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping and/or looking to upgrade.

With your batteries I'm goig to suggest a single coil clearo. Protank 2 or original evod (both made by Kangertech). I find the dual coil ones just don't work well with fixed voltage batteries. Get the airflow base and PT2 and I think you will be happier. Opening up the airflow might help a lot with the throat hit.

Mazc,

The Kanger Aero tank is a really good tank on the cheaper end, I think ~$24, which has airflow control and can use the single or dual coil atomizers. I think they have also made an Aero mini that would fit better with your Ego style battery better than having a bulbous tank on top of a thinner battery, unless of coarse high volume capacity is an important factor to you.

Welcome to ECF. Vaping can be quite confusing for a beginner. Do you have any vape shops in your area where you can look at and try out different equipment and flavor and nicotine strengths? It is more expensive to buy from a local shop but if you find a good one they can teach you a lot and set you up with something that you will like and use.

Here are a few links that helped me over the last year. I know, more reading. :)

Check out the UK Forum. You will find people who may live in your area and can point you in the right direction. Have fun with this and congratulations on your decision to stop smoking.
