Let me know what you find. I'm curious too...

I pretty much don't do it indoors in public places, for fear of feeding the negative image vaping has by the uninformed. But I have some serious anti-smoker friends who have no problem w/ me doing it in their living room. I also have a vaper friend who openly vapes in public stores, etc. and she says she will occasionally get dirty looks, but hasn't been called out. Yet. Will be interesting to see where this is all going to head w/ the FDA getting their panties in a wad.

Makes sense. I would not want to stampede the sheeple into a negative image of vaping. Do they even know that a fart is more harmful and much more noxious? I find that if I hold my vape in, there is no visible vapor upon exhalation.

Will vaping set off an airline smoke detector? If so, I will snuff on international flights. Must.....have.....nicotine....

Just an fyi, an airplane restroom smoke detector is more sensitive than those in public buildings or in personal residences...at vapefest 2013 in Vegas the flamingo hotel and casino had to ask attendees to not vape in the restrooms because it was in fact setting off the detectors...repeatedly...so if it would set off there you can bet the aircraft lavatory would set off...along with a hefty federal penalty...

I vape indoors in public if no one else is nearby. I don't vape in peoples faces though.

As far as walmart my wife works there and their official policy is they don't have one. They ask that employees only use them outdoors during breaks but as far as customers they say they can't really stop them if theres no law against it so they do nothing.

I too generally follow the same etiquette I followed when smoking. I will ask my friends if they mind my doing it when we are together in a private area like someone's home, hotel room, etc. and ask them to be honest because I have no problem stepping outside to vape. It's been very well received by my non-smoking friends so far.

I have stealth-vaped on airplanes, both in my seat & in the bathroom, holding the vape in so no actual vapor was visible. It is banned by the FAA so if you get busted I would bet there will be a hefty fine. The tanks leak like mad w/ the pressure changes though! But, I just ordered a Spheroid atomizer this morning and since it is not affected by pressure changes I will soon be leak-free :)

I vape openly many places, but not everywhere publicly. I use some common sense.

At the grocery store at 7 am on Saturday when nobody is around? Yep, openly.
At the grocery store at 12:30 on Saturday when it is jammed up? No.
At a crowded restaurant with no declared policy? No.
At a bar that permits it? Yep, openly.
In a full elevator? No.
In a movie theater? Only using VERY stealthy means (double inhale, breathe out through a cloth napkin)
At my office? Yep, openly.
Outdoors (anywhere not overly congested)? Yep, openly.

I frequently ask my first time in a restaurant. If they do permit it, I ask if they have a private area so there won't be any BS. I will gladly pay the host/hostess a premium for this arrangement if I am having a nice meal with a bottle of wine. If the owner says no, I don't vape there, but it affects whether or not I will return to give them more business. I do not personally follow smoking regulations, because I am not smoking, but I respect that choice when others make it for themselves.

I like vaping openly, because it gives me a chance to show people what vaping is all about when the opportunity presents itself. I have converted quite a few smokers vaping in bars on rainy/hot and humid/cold nights.

Happy Vaping.

I've lived my life under the rules of smoking etiquette.

I follow the same with vaping.

Very well put and I follow the same rules. As for vaping on planes I don't but know others do and am waiting for the day fire/ smoke alarm incident happens. I figure at that point the Feds will set strict rules/ laws to be followed that may even include air terminals where vaping isn't presently restricted IMO.
