Very good news! OP, you can get blank cartomizers (and better batteries) that are fully compatible with your kit! Just look for kr808D-1 threading! You're in business!
I fully agree with Atty and a couple of others, take some time learn to use what you have there while you learn about other options. That will do 2 things, one it help you learn the in's and out's as vaping is not as simple as smoking was, and two it will give you a chance to decide what you need and or want in a device.
So many are always so quick to say just buy this or that, and yes we have a lot of options out there now, but even in the year I have been vaping a lot of new stuff has come in, new tho doesn't always mean better.

Hey Phil, got some answers from more experienced vapors I see
I did get a bottle of E-liquid from a local tobacco store here to put on top of the horrible taste of my prefilled cartos until I got some better juice in the mail - it did improve it a little - I did strawberry as that was the only non-tobacco that they had on hand.
You might call around to any local stores to see if they carry juice - expect it to be more expensive than what you can order online

100 times better I am over the moon a decent drag at last. Thanks everybody for your help I must go to bed now trying to figure this thing out for 2 days now. Will come back tommorow for an update. Must remember to keep it moist.

I have never met a PV that didn't work--they all do. Some are better than others, but they all do work. There is a learning curve with each one, though. Vaping is not like smoking.
Theres alot of trial and error that goes into vaping when u 1st start you gotta find the right setup that works for you, mainly the right liquid and delivery attachment.once you do it gets easier. I hated it too when I started ..and now I Hate cigarettes.

THis is excellent advice.
A couple weeks ago when I started I invested in quite a few things that in the end really didn't work out for me. Take your time and do your homework and you will figure out what you like.
Thats wut it is right there. Do ur homework, watch/read reviews, read threads, ask questions theres always someone with an answer here for anything. I cant tell you how many hours ive spent on ecf and youtube prior to and after becoming a member here

I started with a cig-a-like kit and within 2 days ordered an Ego Twist and some mini vivi novas. Before long I bought a Provari and rebuildables ...

Chad please keep in mind we have people right here in ECf who have been using cig alikes for a couple years, that is all they use and they like them, vaping is not a one size fits all and everything has good and bad points to it.
I couldn't agree more with other members saying to experiment with as many flavors as you can, because i was frustrated as hell not enjoying the flavor. I would have never thought I would enjoy sweet flavored juices, but now am obsessed with them. It's all about the set up and finding a good flavor that you love.
Let me add the following to the above.
What gear you are using does indeed affect the flavor. Until just today I was using the Ego-C tank system and I really thought that all the flavors didn't have much flavor and had a weird biting burn to them. Well My protank came in today. Loaded it up with peach juice that I hadn't been nuts about in my old system. WOW what a difference. It actually tastes like peaches in the protank.
When it comes to flavors it is ALL personal taste. Experimentation is the key with both the juices and the gear.

lol. I don't think you offended anyone! It's a common misconception that cig-a-likes don't work at all.
They work...but 90% of the people here that stick with vaping will upgrade mostly due to the short battery life. Then we get into features like VV, etc.
However, there are dedicated vapers that really NEED that form factor and just self-adjust to the short battery life. They have stacks of cig-a-like batteries. To each their own. My mom used an eGo and a 510 cig-a-like in parallel to quit smoking (she now quit vaping too!). She needed that form factor.
I seriously want a 2000 mAh battery in a cig-a-like form factor. Alas, super-batteries are only theoretical or not available for some reason. The good news is there's 10x battery performance improvements in the labs. Just not in production.
Maybe someday. We can keep our hopes up. Couple that with either 3.7 v or better yet VV and wow.

My starter kit is very similar to this (I don't have the twist). I'm in love with the Kanger T3's.
OK haven't read the whole thread but I see a familiar theme. a newbie asking "what should I get so I can quit smoking and vape" and everyone telling them what they think is the best battery/atomizer/juice and then arguing over it. I don't know enough about any of those things to give good advice. I have been vaping for just over a year. First I ordered some juice because I didn't want to put out $100 for a starter kit and not be able to use it. Then I ordered a starter kit from a different supplier and because the shipping was paid for I added some more different juice. Original juice got here and then starter kit and juice got here. I tried it with the juice I had originally ordered and it tasted like ( I don't think I can use that word). So I tried the juice I got with my kit it was great. If I had not had the other juice I would not have quit smoking I would have thought that this vaping was a scam and would not help me quit. If I was to give what I think is my best advice it is smoke if you have to but keep trying different battery/atomizer/ juice combinations without breaking the bank (more money does not = better especially for a newbie) until you find one that works for you. Going by the number of people here using a product that is not mainstream there must be something to it. There is no perfect vape but I don't recall a perfect cigarette either. You find something you like and can live with. Once you find that then you can fine tune it to make it better. You don't have to quit this second but please keep looking for an alternative I really feel better after 1 year smoke free. Just an opinion.

I upgraded to a VV eGo 1200 and mini vivi nova clearomizer and sold my GS kit.
They still use their cigalikes a month later and are content with them.
It helps that I bought tobacco juice and can't stand it so they get free refills.
OTOH I wish the Protanks came out before I got another mini nova and an iClear 30.
They are good but I have 2 Protanks and another on the way.
I won't go back to cartomizers.
If you want to upgrade I'd say eGo with a Protank and a few cartomizers.
Congrats on kicking cancersticks to the curb
