Hey guys, I'm having an issue.... I'm not getting those huge vapor clouds that you see on YouTube....

This is my current setup
I'm using

a Magneto Mod (from SmokTech).Using the rda - UD IGO-W and I drilled the holes kinda big, I started with the smallest drill bit (from the drill bit set that you can buy for a Dremel which is what I used to drill the holes bigger) I started with the smallest bit and then went to the second one and I finished the holes with the 2nd bit. It's real easy to pull air through it. :)

I used a dual coil build, 2 micro coils, 26awg A1 kanthal with 7 wraps which gave me a .47 on my omhs reader.

The ejuice I'm using is the "Space Jam: Eclipse 18mg nicotine"

On the wicks, at first I used cellulose cotton for about a week then I changed to this awesome wick that is twisted organic cotton.
Here is the link for that
:D

100 Japanese Organic Cotton Green Wick for Vape RDA RBA Kayfun | eBay

When I put my RDAs top cap on I lined up the holes so it was right in front of the coils.

The battery that I'm using are the green Sony vtc5 and the purple efest ( Amazon.com: Efest IMR 18650 2500 mAh 3.7V LI-MN High Drain Rechargeable Battery , Flat Top , Purple , 35 AMPS: Electronics )

I used the cellulose cotton for about a week or 2 and then I switched to the "Green Wick" but even with both wicks I sure don't get anymore vapor than if I was using my Kanger Protank 2 v2, sometimes I might be able to produce a little bigger vape exhale cloud but I'm not getting the super dense super massive clouds that you see on YouTube.

I have always thought that these people blowing out massive dense clouds (from about the same set-up that I have) on YouTube was somehow being faked.

What am I doing wrong?

If anyone doesn't mind helping me out that will be awesome!

I can post some pics if that will help?

TIA

not sure of exactly the size you opened up the air holes to, but if its really bi and airy, then your whole vape draw has to change. no longer can you do mouth to lung hits but need to do straight lung hits. straight lung inhales take some decent lungs where your inhaling slowly and for a long time. maybe you already know this so excuse me if this is not your issue but with a very open draw one simply cannot just take a quick toot and expect to get much vapor. how is your coils lighting up before the cotton? they lighting up evenly and at the same time? besides airflow to the center of the coil, have you messed around with moving the coils closer to the edge of the rim? like a closer distance to the actual air hole. and lastly, some mods just aren't that efficient in getting power to the coils no matter what batteries you have, its called voltage loss. my very first mech that I bought 3 years ago is a good example, when I check what voltage is actually going to the coil on a freshly charged battery is quite low. this v-loss increases the lower you go in resistance and at .4, this first mod I bought and still have(but rarely still use) is only getting 3v to the coil which is barely over 20 watts, and the 20 watts is only being generated for a short time because the battery is constantly draining. 20 watts may not be all that bad with a single coil, but a dual coil, not so good especially with a thicker gauge wire having to heat. im not saying your mod may be this weak but its a possibility.

Your not going to get huge clouds on a build like that. Most of these videos you see on YouTube there ohms are .09 and lower. Also air flow is key. Stock airflow is not going to produce huge clouds. You will need to drill the holes out bigger and more than likely add more holes.

You will also need a very high VG juice. That will produce dense vapor.

You will also need a different guage kanthal and a more than likely a different build. Something like a 20g dual parallel build will produce nice vape.

***If you are not an advance user do not do any of the above stuff. This should not be done on any clones it should be done on authentic items****

Another one for the "not advised" bin.

There are much better RDA options out there for cloud chasing. Get yourself a mutation x, a tobh atty, or a zenith. I dont drip anything higher than 3mg. Max VG. When i really just want to put out clouds I drip straight VG from the bottle No flavor no Nic. But I like a little flavor and nic so that is rare. Stock airflow will never really produce big clouds and too much air can actually hurt as well. Dont bother trying to build some ridiculous .09 build on a 18650 mech. I dont really recommend to anyone that they build much lower than .3 as hypocritical as it may sound since my avy shows a .16 build. If your going to sub .3 or less use the vtc5s and stay away from the efest as those are really only 20A continuous rated batteries.

Yeah what I'm using now is 50/50 so maybe I will try my DripTonic ejuices, they are made for clouds! :)

After cleaning I'm getting a little better vape exhale but not like you see on YouTube...
