I was about a pack a day smoker before deciding to switch to vape. While I haven't had a cigarette since starting vaping, I don't "feel" that I am getting much of the nicotine. I'm sure I'm getting some since I've been able to stop smoking without any withdrawal. But it doesn't seem that I'm able to actually feel the nicotine. With cigarettes I definitely felt the stimulation of the nicotine. With the vape I don't really feel any sort of "buzz". Is this normal? Do you typically feel the nicotine as you do with cigarettes? I'm using an eGo AIO and a 24mg 50/50 VG/PG mix. If you should feel it, would it be my vape, poor juice, or am I doing it wrong?! When I first started I was just pulling directly into my lungs. Recently I have been doing more of a tongue pull and inhale. I seem to get more vapor with this method, but still, don't really seem to feel the nicotine. I would think with a 24 I would get something! Any advice or comment?

I use something very similar to your device as a back up vape. It isn't as satisfying as my other devices and I don't feel like it hits as well. You might try using different atomizers to see if they work better for you. I use a 1.0 Ohm in my device but you have several to choose from with yours:

BFSS316 0.5ohm/0.6ohm/1.0ohm
BF Stainless Steel 316 Atomizer Heads for Temperature Control or Variable Wattage Mode

BF Clapton 1.5ohm
Clapton wire offer greater surface area resulting in increased vapor production.
BF Clapton Atomizer heads for Variable Wattage Only

LVC Clapton 1.5ohm MTL (Mouth to Lung)
Clapton wire offer greater surface area resulting in increased vapor production.
Applies the Liquid Valve Control (LVC) system. Simply rotate the ring on the base to adjust the valve.

Some say "lung inhale" and others "mouth inhale". Is this refering to the way you draw the vapor? I assume lung inhale is inhaling direct to the lungs, and mouth would be more like a pull into the mouth and then inhale?

I appreciate all the info!

DTL (direct to lung) and MTL (mouth to lung) require different atomizers. For DTL you need an atomizer with more airflow (larger air holes)

Congratulations on being smoke free. You might consider getting a backup device for your AIO so that if something fails on it, you can continue to be smoke free. ScottP answered your question about "feeling the nicotine". Vaping isn't smoking and you won't be able to duplicate the sensations from cigarettes. With sub-ohm and high nic juice, you can get a nicotine buzz, but nothing as similar to smoking. Just a word of encouragement and advice here. Keep doing what you are and don't over think it.

Yeah, MTL or "mouth inhale" is more like a cig. You bring the vapor into your mouth with your tongue like you mentioned earlier. DTL/DL or "lung inhale" goes straight through without that pause. Doing MTL might give you more time to absorb the nic.

Vaping is a less efficient method of nicotine delivery, compared directly with smoking. So you may need to vape more frequently to get a good blood level of nic going.

As others have said, the "buzz" you got with smoking is more than likely the carbon monoxide and other chemicals that are present in burning tobacco, but absent with vaping.

I'm new in vaping too (did'nt reach even 2 months) and I'm still trying different devices. I'm spending a lot of time on this forum (asking for advice) and on the net to look for the best devices (Im spending a lot of money but it worth it. the most important thing I learned is cigalike wont give you the amount of vape or nic needed nor do the ego y'r using. as said by storm52 above vaping is different from smoking cigs. you just need to have enough satisfaction differently. try different devices. I. from time to time go back to my ego ayo to try a different sensation as I use different devices and tobaco juces all day long...

Exhaling through the nose as Abby shows in the second video made a world of difference to me. So did finding the magic of sub-Ohm direct vaping. I wasn't able to completely quit smoking until I got all that. Lungs full of vapor and all that flavor and nicotine oomph in the exhale.... oh, man. Vape heaven.
