Well I usually like tobaccos with a little something on top, like bobas bounty, tiki juice, Havana gold from ave, my homemade vanilla cuban. The shisha flavor sounds intriguing, and the French pipe, and black and mild. Aside from that I dont know. I also sometimes prefer a cig flavor such as ave's c&d. I appreciate the help:)

I also like tobacco with another flavor on top. So I would suggest Virginia Flue Cured mixed with some Cherry. I am going to mix another batch this evening. The Cherry is beyond what you'd ever expect from this flavor. I use 2 to 1 Cherry to Tobacco and love the results. I have Black and Mild in the mail to me now (it gets hella huge raves) and I also think the Shisha sounds quite in intriguing. I have tried the Real Cig and the Wenston and they are nice but the Virginia Flue Cured is my fav so far. The Honey Flu Cured is what I am vaping right now and love this to pieces. Really, I think you'll find it is hard to go wrong with these flavors. Let me know what happens!

I started DIY the first month I started vaping (it must have been the bartender in me) it took me a while to get good enough at it to stop buying vendor juice, I had to get to know my flavors what's good for a base what good for a accent flavor. so if you're new to DIY and your first couple attempts come out not so tasty stick with it you'll get better at it. I think Capella's flavor drops are good flavors to start with because you can get a good single flavor juice with them (Strawberry's and cream num yummy)

I've been DIYing for about 2 months. I think i've been pretty lucky. I've only made 1 juice that wasn't very vapable. I like cucumber in my water, but not in my juice. It is definitely cheaper to DIY. I have 4 boxes. 1 with good juice. 1 with okay juice. 1 with juice that was just wrong, but vapable. The really gross stuff I just tossed. Love the rant!!! Thanks for sharing what alot of us have felt.

Oh wow, that must've been NASTY!! I can see how that wouldn't be vapable. Got close with my third batch. Was hoping to create a great menthol tobacco. Instead, I created one that was.......alright. Still vaping it though and lucky I only made a small 8ml batch of it.

EDIT: Was wrong, I remembered making a Butterscotch and ended up tossing it in the trash LOL

Go DIY!

I guess I'm one of the weird ones. I tried my first e-cig about two years ago on some no-name brand of juice and thought immediately "dude, I can do better than this." I survived for about two weeks on this no-name juice while I did research into what it took to make you own and have never looked back. I will occasionally buy a vendor juice if its something that seems interesting but most of the time I've been disappointed or its just sat to the side (I have a year old big bottle of Boba's that has about 50% left as an example). I remember when I finally got a hold of some of the infamous BWB RY4 and thought, "gee, mine tastes better."

Here's my advice for DIY.

Get glass mixing jars with graduated levels. Plastic is great to a point but if you use any of the stronger flavorings (like cinnamon) the plastic will eventually degrade. Glass is great too because you can warm up your PG/VG before hand which accelerates the steeping process. I use a hot water bath to do it and it works great.

Make one simple all-day vape. Something standard that you like in a single easy flavor like cinnamon, or bubble gum, or just tobacco, or just menthol and make a lot of it. Like around 500mls. That way you can experiment as much as you like but you always have one cheap go to.

Flavors are CHEAP. Double your flavors instead of relying on additives like Ethyl Maltol or Stevia which can significantly change the flavors over time. Your flavor enhancers should only be if you absolutely have to have them.

No flavor works better for enhancing other flavors than simple lemon or simple honey. They don't make wonderful flavors by themselves in my opinion but a fraction of your liquid containing either lemon or honey will significantly enhance your experience.

Make your own flavors. There are MANY MANY extracts that can be made at home with simple items like coffee, tea, and vanilla.

ditto, its really the same thing! then you get to vape it and mix a drink! or in my case, pour liquor over ice :)

interesting because I've been flirting with the idea of using honey lately

what concentration do you add it at?

Usually not more than 1%. Then again it also depends on the mixture. For my cinnamon pear recipe I mix it at 5% but you'll never taste it because it brings out the flavor in the pear and the cinnamon.

very cool, I will try this! Do you find it gunks up your coils faster on your atomizers/cartomizers?

with respect to your initial post, I tried a fruit extraction once with PGA, didn't turn out so well lol.

I'm good on coffee, vanilla, tea flavors.

Have you had any success extracting fruit? Something else?

And just to be clear here, I mean honey flavoring, not actual honey. And no, it doesn't gunk anything up. As to fruit extractions, I've been moderately successful with the only fruit I've tried, strawberry. The steps to do it though aren't worth the effort. It involves dehydration, grinding, and then alcohol tincture.

I may be the only one that's been vaping close to two years and has never purchased ready made eLiquid from any vendor. When I started I picked up a few of others PIF, didn't likes and don't wants. One included a "Cinnamon Mist". Decided I loved Cinnamon. Purchased Cinnamon Red Hots and Cinnamon from The Perfumers Apprentice. Been DIYing my own ever since. Cept now I've dropped the nicotine and rarely use any Cinnamon Flavor in my blends anymore. JMHO

Haven't used Lorann's before. How does it compare to others like TPA and FlavourArt?

It depends on the flavor really. I'm really fond of Lorann's Amaretto, Honey, Lemon, and Butter. Another one is I think Lorann's chocolate is way better than anyone else's but their walnut and mint are absolutely disgusting. However, for Cinnamons I prefer TPA as well as for Custard. FlavourArt, in my opinion, does strong flavors really, really well like bergamot and brandy but less so on the subtle flavors.
