coined the expression "turds" for cigarettes, and it seems to be catching on...

How about "Table" or "Chair" or "Fence" or "Keyboard" or some other word also in common use that means something else entirely?

I think we should randomly reassign the names of everything at, say, a 120hz rate.

Just think! You get to relearn the entire language 120x/sec. If anyone is out of sync, communication is impossible! Woot! What fun that will be!

If you axe me its wacked when the meaning of word changes. All fun aside words have always changed meanings the only difference not its done on a global scale at the speed o texting. Now I have to go grab my faggots and get ready to go out. Hey no dirty thoughts I'm not referring to a gay male, An older british slang for a cigarette. Not a bundle of sticks, that'd be a ....... I'm talking faggots a kind of meatballs, going to pot luck dinner.

The problem we have with society in general including the FDA is the fact these look and act too much like cigarettes. Yes, I refuse to refer to cigarettes as analogs also. Nobody understands the term "analog" as we use it so they have no idea what we are talking about. I refer to my equipment as a "device" or "vaporizer" and I don't smoke I "exhale vapor" (haven't came up with a better description for this). When the person looks at me funny after I've said this I then refer them to medical vaporizers which they are familiar with. From this point on now their questions are "medical" related not "smoking" related because I've referred them to something they are familiar with and can relate to.

I believe, other than the fact we are still utilizing nicotine, that we need to stop "looking" like we are smoking. Fact is, I don't even try to hold my device as a cigarette but rather cup it in my hand. I have not seen where the different colors have made a difference in regard to inquires and people's first impressions when they see me. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is a duck!

I am having a problem with battery life getting me through the day and even started a thread about this. However, the more I think about it and the way society relates to me vaping, I'm seriously considereing a box mod now to help me look less like I'm smoking.

Okay, flame on... ;)

I don't think people are going to their corner store and asking for analogs. Asking people not to smoke an analog in their house. Here I think partly its used because people was finally able to break their addictions to them. A lot of people here are at least a bit techie. By calling them analogs its a way of calling them old fashioned and obsolete. By doing that it makes themselves feel better. I do it cause its kewl.
