Not how you do business.

I find it truly amazing how an e-liquid vendor or any business would close their online store to customers trying to place an order. Basically they have plenty of money and/or they don't care for your business or they are braindead idiots who enjoy losing new customers. This has happened more than once to me trying to buy e-liquid from a supposedly reputable supplier/vendor.
Makes me sick to my stomach.
I won't name names as to keep from alienating anyone who might want to throw in there 2 cents.

That's all.

I'm going to assume that you're referring to Alice in Vapeland or Alien Visions. Personally, I don't have a problem with companies doing this. It just goes to show that they care more about quality over quantity, and don't want to overload their capacity. Not everyone wants to expand their operations, nor should we demand that they do.

I have been frustrated with this myself, though I understand where they are coming from. There are some manufacturers that just can't keep up with the demand. They would rather tone it down on the orders until they catch up, versus taking your money and making you wait a ridicules amount of time for your order to ship. I respect that businesses are not hiring "just anybody" to mix our liquids quickly for the sake of making extra money. This is just my personal opinion, to each their own.

If it was AiV, I can completely understand your frustration.......

Until my first order arrived, and without even tasting any of it, I could tell how much care they put into their stuff. Cute notes inside, playing cards, multi-colored confetti for packing material, along with (I'm assuming) screen printed pictures both inside and outside.

Yeah, sometimes it sucks royally when the site doesn't respond properly. If it is a major site issue, they always stay open longer to make up for it, though. I can feel their pain, though, as they may very well be on that "edge" of not being able to afford a higher tier service provider, and have to put up with the bandwidth limits.

this business model beats the MsT approach ... who just keeps taking on more orders while delaying the delivery of orders for months.
^^ A thousand times this. I'd rather be turned away than have my money taken and have nothing but dead air as an answer to "where's my stuff?".

I understand your frustration, but if the vendor has decided that they can only manufacture 1,000 quality widgets a month, and cannot increase production without sacrificing that quality, I can respect that.

I don't really care about that stuff. I always wonder if I'm paying extra for all that. I really only vape what is in the bottles. :)

I agree that it's okay to close when capacity is reached. As long as the vendor realizes you may place an order elsewhere, and then they may never see you again if you find something good at the other place. ;)

Every year you notice the top vendors seem to change.....there are tons of new ejuice makers entering the business. I bet next year's lineup won't look anything the same as this year's.

Maybe it's a blessing....someone is telling you to learn about DIY E-Liquid!

Not everyone wants to diy. It's a epidemic every juice post has to have "that guy" oh just diy it's 1000 times better. While that may be or may not be the case some people don't want to diy or others have no safe way of keeping nic juice and what not away from the lil ones. And finally Yea it's cheaper but it's not a route everyone wants to take

I ordered from a vendor on Dec 3 and got my e liquid in the mail yesterday Jan 21....she was back logged with orders.....frustrating.

I also ordered 8 10ml bottles of e liquid on Jan 6. Got the package today and to my surprise there was a note on my receipt that they upgraded all my bottles to 30ml saying they were sorry for the delay....no that's great service.

Things happen. NicQuid recently had issues with their bottle supplier and was backed up on orders for at least a couple of weeks. Not sure what Mrs. T's situation was, but to drop all communication to her customers wasn't right. At the very least notify or post what's going on so the rumors don't get out of hand. She lost a lot of customers that she'll never get back.

I vape 1.8 to 2.4% and anyone who thinks a good business model is to stop taking orders when they will eventually have the product in a reasonable amount of time is a complete ..... and has zero business experience. You don't run a business like that, that's how you lose money, and I'm sure most of the companies who do this lose money, customers and eventually won't be around sooner than later.....and AVE is not the problem but they do practice these questionable dealings as I've experienced in the past, which regardless of what you say with regards to being a capacity or whatever....this is not a sporting event where all the seats are full...if you are out of the supplies to make the juice than so be it, but not taking orders is a joke.

This country used to be based on free enterprise and competition. Not so much any more. If you don't like the business model or the owner's decision to close for whatever reason, don't shop there. That is your loudest and best way to protest.

I think you are out of line demanding that any business cater to your schedule. Small companies close to catch up, large companies close to upgrade their computer systems. Some of them are down every night or every week for computer stuff. .

I have 'fired' customers because I didn't have the staff to cover their needs. 'Fired' was their word, not mine. I just informed them that they would need to find another provider and offered some phone numbers. They were furious. Oh well. Not my intent but they can respond in whatever manner they see fit.

As consumers, we have the right to choose which business' to patronize. As a business owner, I have some say in who my customers are. If I cannot give you good service, I will give you no service. That is my business model and it serves me very well. I refuse business when the money isn't right. I refuse business if I cannot complete the order in a timely, safe, legal fashion.

My favorite juice guy closes now and again for personal or business reasons. I have yet to be upset. I respect his need to have a life outside providing for my vaping needs.

Oh, and BTW, things will look very different a year from now. There is a possibility that we will be buying liquid from only the biggest labs, like as in Big Tobacco. The FDA may very well do away with the little mom and pop vendors. You will probably be happy with the 24/7/365 hours but not so much with the quality. YMMV

I prefer quality over quantity any day .If you can do both then great but if quantity takes the place of quality then I have a problem with that. One thing I love about vaping is all the options .If you dont want to wait thats no problem go else where and you might find something you like better :)

I agree with Racehorse I dont need pretty extras with my juice just a good product .Thats not a dig at AIV just my :2c:

Its just like how some folks love MBV for cheap juice that comes quickly and thats great for them but for me I dont mind waiting or paying more for what I enjoy. These days this doesnt apply to me to much because I DIY but there are a few vendors whos quality juice I do or would still pay for and if that meant waiting Im ok with that .

Doesnt mean Im right or they are just different strokes for different folks .

Nice way to sum it up.

We use to call this voting with your feet (prior to on line ordering, when you had to go to the store to make a purchase)

I would be frustrated not being able to buy my juice of choice but I respect their decision.
