Anyone else getting this problem?
I've always had problems with insomnia, sleep one to three hours up for a while then sleep a couple more and off for the day, I'm used to that. I'm also aware of depression, especially right now, no work, it's cold, dark and cabin fever are driving me MAD!
But this is getting weird! I didn't sleep last night, I was wide awake at 5:45 when my wifes alarm went off, then finally I was tired and passed right out for an hour at a time for four hours, then up and going.
I don't think I am vaping that much, two 24-36mg carto's a day, and I make it a point not to vape hard late at night as I have over vaped and been wired from nicotene a couple of times, which this doesn't really feel like that. But this is going on a week, and I am getting tired!
Sugestions?

Have you tried Melatonin? The stuff is dead-safe... over the counter.. and doctors recommend it for kids all of the time. That's how we found out about it.

It's basically out of your system within about an hour (at which time the body is supposed to kick in with its own Melatonin production), so you won't have any effects in the morning.

Highly recommended!

That's a good question. I have read several times, that if you are suffering from insomnia that you should avoid nicotine. From the National Sleep Foundation:

Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol:
Avoid drinks that contain caffeine, which acts as a stimulant and keeps people awake. Sources of caffeine include coffee, chocolate, soft drinks, non-herbal teas, diet drugs, and some pain relievers. Smokers tend to sleep very lightly and often wake up in the early morning due to nicotine withdrawal. Alcohol robs people of deep sleep and REM sleep and keeps them in the lighter stages of sleep.

Although that does seem to be a bit of a contradiction "wake up early due to nicotine withdrawal" A lower does nic might help with your sleep pattern - it's worth a try.

i go through massive sleep-dep bouts, usually during my work rotation. unfortunately i don't have any remedy... i used to take tylenol PMs but then i just feel groggy in the morning, along with other sleep-oriented medications. if you're a more natural type, chamomile tea, maybe? or something similar?

i've heard about melatonin too -- but whatever i bought, the dosage was too low, or i wasn't taking enough, because it didn't do much for me. others say it works well, though.

I am a contractor out of work also and been not sleeping well either. I also have noticed that I get hot in bed easy and I get cold a 70 degrees out. I can not take cold at all. I think it does have something to do with heavy vaping but thats my openion. Its still better than smokeing :)

This very closely resembles my latest issues! I deal with the cold outside because I have to. But at night I am hot then cold then hot then cold. Once I finally get to the point I am cold all the time and get under the covers, I am asleep.
Yes, I am thinking it's vaping as well which is why I asked here.

I have to watch my caffine intake very closely as I am already a light/unusual sleeper. I cut off the caffine by 6pm otherwise I'll never sleep!
And yes, being a heavy drinker, I can understand a lot of what is said above, I used to wake up needing a cig to go back to sleep and woke up a lot when I "sobered up" in the middle of the night unable to get back to sleep. I have learned to watch that as well.
But this is a totally new situation to me.

Well you all already know I'm weird, but there's another nail in that coffin!

When I sleep I am dead to the world. Been that way all of my life. :(

I did have trouble going to sleep for a week or so, but that was due to meds. I now take a low dose of generic Ambien (prescription) at night and no more problem.

I also recommend this, One of my sisters and a woman I work with switched from prescription sleeping pills to Melatonin, and they love it. My sister says she feels so much better in the morning and she sleeps great!

I cant sleep either, been going on for weeks now.
I average about 4 hours sleep a day now, but thats just it "DAY" I want to sleep at night.

I thought it was related to depression as I have been disabled for about 2 years nows.
Financial problems and my insurance co found a loop hole to let them off the hook for the surgery I need. I have all kinds of problems going on now so I didnt relate the insomnia to vaping but now I am hearing people here having the same problem.

I have some perscrition sleeping pills but they totally wipe me out then the next day then I feel horrible. I think I will try that Melatonin if I can find it.

Thanks
