It's gonna be a shade over 100* today....

2 kids bitten by sharks over the weekend....both lost left arms....Female sharks are up in the surf looking to give birth....It might be 100* but swimming isn't on the agenda...

Cruising the internet I see Kanger has added dual air slots too the KSM....Also saw a clear plastic "bell cap" for the KSM....I did have issue with tip fitment in the KSM as the hole is tapered...Not an issue with some tips but it was with the ones I run...Not sure if the bell cap addresses that or not...After much experimentation I've decide the KSM is the way to go....Actually it's the path of least resistence...Other sub tanks have better flavor but there's nothing quiet like a leaky tank....Fine and dandy one minute and leaking the next....then back to fine and dandy with nothing done to the tank...New air control bottoms are available but hard to come across ATM....thinking I'll just spring for another KSM and use the one with the drilled RTA for parts....having 3 spare glass tanks insures you'll never break the first one....and whatever you do don't drill the barrel !!!!!

Went too the beach to cut grass and stuff...had the computer in the case and sitting on the washer to be loaded and pulled a Fran....Yep left the whole shooting match here at home.......

Lol Wuzz! At none to spare. :)

I did call and as politely as I could, gave them a piece of my mind. This time he at least said although it is very possible that it could have happened during the service, he felt it unlikely due to the location of the crack. Never once offered up any type of compensation what so ever so I told him that he's seen the last of my families vehicles as well as those that I know and run my mouth to!
At what point in time do you know that it's time to trade in your car for a newer model? Lol I keep thinking that surely I've done all of the major things to get by a couple more years with. ( or at least a year) then the next thing pops up. Hate cars!

Radiator is all good now, and although the bill wasn't great (at this point in time, and with all of the other repairs done as of late) it was better than he quoted it to be. Thank goodness!

I am grateful to not have to worry about overheating and cracking the heads. I am also grateful that I don't have to spend time under the hood checking such nonsense.

Turn they key and GO!!! :D that's my speed. Haha

With an 00 Dodge I still think is pretty new.....I may not be the best to ask when to trade....

Dude at Valvoline can say what he wants....I can tell he's lying from several states South

Got three of the biggest chicken breasts I've seen marinating in the BBQ sauce....Not venturing back out till the sun goes down...Got sideways on my diet a few days back...I just can't handle food available at the drive in anymore....I'm paying the price atm...Guessing a sensitivity too sheety food isn't a bad thing

Maybe the temps will be enough to bring the tick season too a close....at least slow them down....Wading into the new air compressor in the shop deal....Some jackazz stole my pressure gauge so I bought one today...new oil and filter on the way...Gonna have to cool off a bit before I get the construction of the new compressor room underway....

I saw about those shark attacks, Dee. Pokey is headed out on vaca to the beach...hoping she will keep a watchful eye!

I got my KSM parts from Sweet Vapes, new rba and air flow controller. Keep them in mind if you need spares.

Tracy, I hate that the mechanic got you :( Hopefully this will be the last time you have to have any major work done on your car.

Thanks ElDee. I feel the same way about my car being new-like. Not one bit of rust anywhere, runs well, good on gas....only 83,000 miles on it. Wth?!?!

I don't like car payments and higher insurance rates for full coverage. So here I sit idle....doing repairs....more often than usual. Plthhhhhhh!

My laptop had three of the four screws holding the hinges broken free....Gotta say Toshiba cheaped out when designing an important part of the computer...I'd been looking around for a replacement...Windows 10 is getting ready to hit....If I could only get a few more weeks outta this computer it would save upgrading from 8 to 10...So....I took the laptop to the shop and tore into it...I drilled it out and rivited the dang thing back together....Good as new

Sweet Vapes is where I was looking at KSM parts....Only source I could find and they are outta stock on airflow controllers....

I found a tick on my dang back Saturday....Spike delivers them for free

The shark attacks happened on Oak Island....growing up I nearly lived there...It was Long Beach then before things got all proper with a new name....Local officials are talking about banning shark fishing there...I got no dog in that fight but it won't solve the problem....Getting bit is a chance you take...One thing is sure....I see one and I'm outta there PRONTO!!!!! Hell it took years after seeing Jaws before I'd consider swimming in the ocean.....

Dang 105 degrees here today! Hotter than hades, I do believe. Worst part was that my 9:30 am appointment with my hand surgeon ran 2 hours late. If that was not bad enough, I had to postpone an appointment for my mom from noon until 2PM. That appt took 3 hours! I am wiped out to say the least.

I was at Myrtle one year as a young teen with my mom when a huge shark was spotted close to shore. The 4 wheelers were on the beach trying to get everyone out of the water (unbeknownst to me since I was out about shoulder deep) My mom was standing on shore calmly trying to wave me in. I waved back  Helicopters were over head dropping red dye packets. And I was happily swimming away lol The shark was extremely close to me and that was a very close call. My mom and I were talking about it today. We both grew up on the ocean but, that year pretty much did my mom in for her love of it. Plus, I will no longer venture out more than waist deep. Hey, we are in their territory, not vice versa. Can't really blame the shark.

ETA- hang on, LD. I will post a link for the KSM AFC

We eat nothing but chicken and I have at least 4 different gallon freezer bags in various marinades in the fridge on any given day. YUM!

    Sweet dreams Fran :)

Been living here since 2010 and have never been down to the Ct shore. Not that I wouldn't like to, just those damn panic attacks get in between me and driving to unfamiliar places alone

Salem, can't imagine how your mom stayed so calm during that event!

    Thanks for the link Salem!!!

Surfing prior to Hurricane Bertha I saw a very large shark cutting thru a wave...Yeah I came on out...Was knee deep a few years back and had one run into my leg....I'll say this....They have very abrasive skin...It drew blood....That one was chasing dinner and I'm glad it didn't decide to take a bite outta my chicken leg...It was a Black Tip of about three feet...I jumped at least 60 feet....In the sixties I was out gigging flounder with Dad one night when a big one pulled me in....I overheard Dad telling the guys the next day and one asked if I got hurt....Dad laughed and said..."He was back in the boat so fast he didn't even get wet!!" Likely that ain't far from the truth...She has been off the Carolinas for at least the last six months....We friends on FaceBook....

Friday or Saturday there was a tagged w/transmitter 12 foot Tiger Shark well up in the Cape Fear River...A Tiger will dang sure bite you and I suspect either a Tiger or Black Tip got those kids...The Great White Mary lee is dead east of Charleston right now....16 feet and 3500lbs...

Yeah, my mom was always very strong raising 3 girls by herself. That was back at a time when that was almost unheard of. Being a "typical" NYer really helped her out in that respect. She still is mostly. ;)

Almost forgot! When mom and I were getting glasses this afternoon, I noticed a thick cloud behind the reception area. looked like smoke at first but, you guessed it. Someone back there was vaping and tossing thick clouds around. I meant to ask who but forgot all about it by the time we got back there. Kudos to that optometrist for allowing it :thumb:

    Morning folks :)

I've never seen a shark in the wild, I would jump 60ft even if I wasn't in the water!

I didn't tell the SS consult Dr that I vape...I figured it wasn't in my best interest to give the government paperwork that info. When he asked if I smoked, I just said no ;)

Salem, my mom raised my brother and me on her own too. You're right that it wasn't easy or common back then. I was 5 and my brother was 7 when our dad died. She remarried when I was 16.
