Still no power....water comes from a well so no water.....On day 6 now....Pre- storm and post storm stress are begining to take a toll................

I feel for you, Dee. Like Tracy, I haven't forgotten Sandy. We were out of power for a week that time. The year before Sandy we had a freak Oct. blizzard and were out of power 2 weeks. We are lucky in that our furnace still works without power, city water, gas cook stove and water heater.

That's how you find out who your real friends are Bov. I've lost a few over the years because I absolutely refuse to debate religion and politics.

I have gotten a little better at keeping my mouth shut, but still go off on certain offensive things

I was filling the generator with gas at 7:30....using the old cigar grip on the flashlight....I'd been running the dropcords through the kitchen window...Suddenly it got brighter...I thought my flashlight bulb was going out....Nope....The kitchen light came on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Nicola Tesla !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of atty do you have? I love the bell jar glass!

Lynn, the atty is a Kennedy 24. The tank is from Trippy Tips. They're the only DT's I've used since I bought my 1st one early 2012. The Plasma tank has an inner chimney like the Kayfun. And it holds almost 5ml's.

I had an issue with my phone two nights ago. Long story short, Verizon had me wipe all browsing history and ever since then whenever I come here I have to relog my info to sign in, even though I check the "stay logged in" button. Any ideas? It's not the end of the world, but a PITA!

That could be Bov but, my other bookmarked sites are fine. Hmmmm, idk.
My Apple ID and phone number were being used to text from a 13" mac in China or Japan!!!! All of a sudden I got notification to my phone and had about 20 Asian text messages to 20 different numbers. Wth? This crap only happens to me, I swear!!!!

Hang in there, LD. Just keep reminding yourself it is only temporary. I know that won't help much but was all that I could think of to say. HA!

Seriously, if it gets that rough you are not that far away and always welcome in my home. Even if you just need a break. DH and I aren't too weird so no worries there.

Goes without saying that Spike would be welcome too!
