That dang emergency room doc said one of my problems was that I was slightly overweight....I've not measured height in years but at one time was 6"3'....I think I'm a little shorter now...I weighed yesterday....179lbs....a little overweight...????? Dang......
That is nonsense.

@FranC, that is horrible. I am so sorry for your granddaughter; she must be devastated. Those poor dogs. I hope at least that they peacefully suffocated.

Thank you, @FranC. One of the things I like about the Internet is that it's mostly okay to gatecrash, but I always feel presumptuous when I do.
Please don't. You are welcome here:)

Zazie, they are all friendly folks here and always happy to see new faces here

LD, I had to take treadmill stress test last year. I failed it and had my heart catheterized. It was scary as hell but it ended up being a fluke. My heart is healthy.

I wore a heart monitor for 3 days years ago. It wasn’t bad at all. Hang in there. We are all rooting for you.

Bov, of course you were meant to be a dog mama again! You are so very good at it. Bella is a very lucky girl. Can’t wait to see more pictures once she arrives home.

As I'd suspected I've lost 2.5 inches over the years...Doc said 6 foot 1/2 inch...185 fully clothed....I'm really not wanting a cauterization.......Fingers crossed on that one...They say it's needed I'm doing it though.....Dang old BP meds were $80 for a month supply....They seem to help and I suspect will help more once in my system good....Trust this whole time I've been reading along...with the falling out....nicotine withdrawals....caught a cold on top of that....well I just haven't felt like adding much...Cold is better and I hope to sleep a full night tonight...

No worries if it comes to catherization, LD. They go in through the arm and was a pretty easy procedure. Didn’t take long at all.

Did you mention to them that you have no insurance? Sometimes there are less expensive alternatives. May be worth asking them.

My husband is on an expensive bp med only because it was the only one he could tolerate. I was on an inexpensive bp med. Lost weight and taken off it.

Now, even with the lost weight, my bp is climbing again. I have to monitor at home but suspect I will need to go back on one soon.

Hang in there. I know that it is scary not knowing what is going on. It will all work out though. ❤️

    Welcome @Zazie !!

I hear yall on the prices of prescriptions! If I didn't have Medicaid, I'd be in a world of hurt. I'm on 2 BP meds, 2 Diabetes meds, GERD med...yeah, I know. Losing 35lbs and quitting smoking didn't do squat for my BP, but helped me get my blood sugar under control.

Dee, as always, I'm sending love and prayers.

Same for you, Salem! I know how hard your Mom's care is on you

I've been on amlodipine 5mg for years, BP has stayed quite good.

We're at a sultry 0F right now, but it's a dry cold, not so bad [emoji3]

I will do a fire at home tomorrow, with pan of water on top of the wood stove The humidity is crazy low, 10% outside and not much higher inside.
