I thought I'd dropped the dust ball on a pile of leaves...I just nudged it but no resistence was offered...110% dust covered suede shoe...Luckily i had a vacuum....

I'd just passed through a heavy residential/commercial area with a 45 posted limit when the cop came up behind me...hey I was just moseying along not paying particular attention too anything really...I try and not pull off the road just anywhere due to picking up a nail or something...I was with a group on motorcycles once and pulled off to zip my jacket...Rear tire went flat just as I caught back up with the group...running @100...It stuck with me....

Traffic laws apply too everyone....cops included...That Lowes is in a great big old shopping center and it's fairly new...A really nice road circles the whole lot...We were near the road but the cop was clearly not on it and cutting through the spaces...We were near the back of the lot but there was still cars parked back there so I never really saw the cop until just before he crossed in front of me...He was wrong 100%...The headlines woulda' read....Crazed madman shot dead as he tries too kill cop with truck....Him cutting me dead off shows he has no respect for me and I have even less for him...That won't change.

Oh yeah, I saved the best cop story for last. Last year I was walking on the main highway, when I found a house key in front of a grammar school, that is next door to the police station. I felt that maybe a student had dropped the key, so I decided to turn in at the police station. When I entered the main entrance of the station, I was greeted by a narrow hallway, closed in by plexiglass panels. At the end of the hallway, was a tray, like they use at bank drive up windows. I went up to the tray and on the other side of the plexiglass enclosure, was a cop. He opened the tray and told me to put the key in it. He was polite and thanked me for turning in the key, but he was clearly annoyed that I had "bothered" him. This is a small town, with very little crime, I couldn't believe that they had locked themselves in the station, like that. They are cops, armed to the teeth, what the heck are they afraid of?

Morning folks :)

Jerry our police station is the same with the plexiglass and the little bank drawer window. Manchester is a smallish town but we have the crime spill over from being just a suburb of Hartford.

I know there are plenty of bad cops, but I have been fortunate enough to never have had a really bad experience with one. I'm also realistic enough to know that being a female Caucasian has played a big role in that luck. I've been pulled over plenty of times, but never ticketed or had a rude cop in my face.

Bov, I have never been in trouble with the law, either. When I worked in a bank, I occasionally had to go on "money runs". That's a dangerous thing to do and after being followed one time, the bank got me a police escort. I got to know some of the cops and I remember one telling me that if he knew then, what he knows now (1970s) he would have never become a cop. He didn't elaborate, he didn't really have to, I got the message.

I've dealt with many cops and I've dealt with many criminals as well...The cops will gut you quicker...

That said I reside 5 miles from 2 small towns....one in each direction...Both have police and I'm friends with both chiefs....but I don't trust them

Jer that was Your's Truely that said the boys in blue are the largest street gang in the world...Recent events have confirmed my theory...I have more theories

One thing that really bothers me....In 81 or so a state law was passed that said anyone fleeing from the cops could be shot down....Anyone....In 86 or so this law was ruled Un-Constitutional by the SCOTUS and remains off the books today...Recently a DA presented a copy of said law too 12 Grand Jurors duping them too believe it was law...I'm of the opinion that said DA should be facing enough jail time too deter this kind of activity...It's us against Politicians/Courts/Cops...I'm on the US side

Don't take what I said and assume I'm not aware of how said street gang operates. Do a google search for St. Francis County Sheriff Coolidge Conlee and you will get a small window into the law of the land I grew up under. My good fortune with the locals was only because of our family name, and the involvement of an uncle in Conlee's "gang." What you will find on google about Conlee is only the tip of the iceberg. I remember several stern "talks" I was on the receiving end of in his office. He was not as gentle with my brother.

All the cops or in my day "Pigs" I ever meant were just guys either too lazy or too stupid to get a regular job that pays that well. I got relatives and friends that are coppers but I tell them the same thing. Our last sheriff and I mean the top cop George Janovich is now serving time in the federal penitentiary for racketeering. They are just thugs with badges and I have as little to do with them as possible. I had two guys come inside my house with pistols and ski masks on that tried to rob me in my younger days. They had planned to execute me and my family afterward we found out later but by a stroke of luck their plan was foiled. I called the cops as soon as I got free. Their response was why do you think they came to you to rob? Are you selling drugs or something else? Ya they started blaming me and my wife. Didn't care about the other guys at all. I have absolutely no love, trust, or need for a cop.
