Good morning Miss Salem. Hey, I'm glad to see you have your old avvie back again!

Ohh, a Kanger Sub tank Mini!! Of course! I've read a lot about those. Maybe one of these days I'll have to try one.

Right now I'm real Happy with my Delta's and nautilus. They sound real nice though!

LOL, I got another e-mail this morning from that old Q-Tip that's been chasing me. I'm afraid she would have to send her skin to the Dry Cleaners and get it steam pressed to get rid of the wrinkles before I'd be interested even a little bit .... and probably not even then.

Good moanin Salem and Texas T. I'm not as happy as Tex about the avatar. Every time I look at it my pacemaker opens the garage door. Already wore out to openers.

If you really want something pocket friendly that hits like a Delta try the Egrip Tex. Nothing sticking out of the profile but a drip tip. The egrip is the way I've been able to resist the new and shiny all the gals are buying. I've got some rebuildables and mechanicals along with a bunch of 20 watt isticks and about 40 misc. devices hanging around but the Egrip and Erolls are my primary all day's. Still love the Eroll for hands free. I'm pretty much one of those chain vapers and I'd never get anything done if I had to keep something in my hands full time.

I ordered a Orchid V4 cause it wuzz so cheap and the you tube video looked like an easy build but I don't know anyone else that has one. It's roaming around the country somewhere in a USPS truck and hopefully will be transferred to the Pony Express soon. I've got one package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday and one today. Neither one is in sight.

Morning everyone :)

'Tis a good day...my KSM is out for delivery :w00t:

Wonderful words Dee!

Anyone who read my FB status last night knows that I had one of those memory jogging, love inspiring experiences at the grocery store yesterday. That elderly gent's devotion to love still fills me today, and I hope I never forget his story :)

TT, I went back to the old avi just for you ;) Sorry, Wuzz

I think that TT has an Egrip, Wuzz. I may be mistaken though. He has SO many mods that I don't even try and keep track. lol

Wuzz, I closed my FB account down last year.

Can't say as I blame you Salem. Main reason I'm on it is most of my family and a bunch of rl friends. I usually check it at least once a day but don't hang out there much.

LOL, guys ... I have so many cotton pickin' things with batteries in them to vape with that I swore off buying anything else.

So I ordered two 50 watt iSticks because I even tell fibs to myself. They'll be here Monday. Actually, their at the Post Office now but our Post Office doesn't open the counter on Saturdays because that old lady with the walker that runs the place likes to drink pretty heavy on weekends.

And I hate to admit this, but I also picked up a couple 40 watt iSticks a while back .....

And I like my Vapor Shark rDNA30 so much that I accidentally ordered one more as a back-up. I'll have it Monday too.

But I'm NOT buying anything else!! I'll never live long enough to use up all the things I have now!

I don't have an Egrip salem. I even looked to check!!

I think that was our friend Carrot that got one. When they first came out it seemed there were a lot of complaints about them and I kind of ignored them. And Wuzz, regarding "I'm one of those chain vapers and I'd never get anything done if I had to keep something in my hands full time."

There's an easy way to fix that.

Do like I do and just work with one hand.

Or .... don't work.

I tried that Facebook one time but gave it up when the only person who wanted to be my friend was an old lady from the NSA in Salt Lake City. I figured she was just another old Q-Tip and never did talk to her.

Wuzz the Orchid will be a solid performer with well built coils I'm sure...My suggestion is check out "tensioned micro coils" on U Tube...That guy made a jig that clamps too a table and he winds the coil much like reeling in a fish. It leaves the coil looking perfect, under tension, making true contact coil to coil and according to him performing better than anything else...I plan on throwing one of those jigs together very soon...

Now I'm wondering if anyone has ever sub-ohmed a K Fun....I always laughed at those cloud competition kids...I've been a vaper since the dark ages and kinda felt they had it handed to them without any work to advance vaping....Couple of drags off the KSM and now I see they indeed did their part...

I ran up to the local Coffee Shop this morning and my three old buddies were there. Old Fred who is 90 and always carries a gun and a Bible. Pete who is 87, Frank who is 79 and the youngest me at 74.

There's an old Mexican gentleman who always sits over in the corner by himself and watches us. I think he's with the NSA.

My friends were talking about their health problems. The 79-year-old said: "My problem is I wake up every morning at seven and it takes me at least 20 minutes to pee.

The 87-year-old said: "My problem is I get up at eight and it takes me at least half an hour to have a bowel movement."

The 90-year-old said: "At seven I pee like a horse. and at eight I crap like a cow."

"So what's your problem?" Old Frank asked him..

"I don't wake up until nine!"

I finished my coffee and came back home. I didn't want to hear anything else.

About as low as I've ever vaped was at 0.8 and 1.0 ohms using one of those pre-made Kanger coils.

The 1.0 ohm ones were very, very good and I still have and use some of those from time to time.

Hahaha!! You guys crack me up!!

FB, yep I keep up with old friends and new there. Most of you around here have not just my name, but address and phone number after being on ECF for coming up on 5 years. If you want to friend me there just look up Debi Smith Mather.

Here's the cut/paste of the sweet experience I had yesterday...

I had the most delightful conversation with an elderly gent in the grocery store today. He was trying to find his wife's favorite Hershey Mini Bars and asked if I could help. His wife passed away 2 years ago, but he still buys her favorite chocolates on her birthday. They were married for 67 years! Thank you sir, you made my day! Gentlemen like you are few and far between

It really made my day, Wuzz! I could have spent all day chatting with that man...he just had an aura of kindness around him :)

Holy vapor, Batman!! Got my KSM washed, primed, filled, and billowing! Like Dee, I set it up with the .5 head and started at 10w, bumped it up to 11w and gonna let it soak while I nap :) Flavor is good but I am sure it will get better as I break it in and find my sweet spot. I opened the air vent completely and showed it off to Katie...she laughed and said that if I ever thought about going back to a stinkie after that, she'd put me in my grave herself

I have a feeling I'll vape myself nic sick on this 8mg!!

Dee I've done the KF down to about .5-.6 Ω but I can't go too high on watts. The airflow is the key, more airflow keeps the coil temp down so you can use more power.

I have the 528 Custom Vapes V2 KF on it's way here Monday. Airflow of a dripper in a KF body.... Could truly be East meets West !

Woo Hoo Bov, ElDee and all you KSM newbies like me! I love hearing your thoughts and learning along with you on this journey.
I've still only looked at mine yesterday.
Hoping to tear into it soon...

We had a big day here. Jocelyn went for her LSW state test (license of social work). We all know what a great kid she is (because of all my bragging!) and how hard and serious she takes her studies. She paid to take a prep class and there is a $230 fee to take the test. Most of the positions she is wanting to apply for require an LSW certification so it's a pretty big deal.

Anyways, she needed a 97 to pass and she got a 93. :(

We went out and got her a big old ice cream cake with congrats Jocelyn on it and a congrats balloon, her boyfriend and her sister were taking her out for dinner when she called me crying with the news. She's so hard on herself!!!

I consoled her as best as I could and told her that everything happens for a reason, and not to question it. Take it as a learning experience and try again in 90 days.
She wanted to cancel dinner plans and I said don't be silly, do you think they only let licensed social workers in? You can't eat unless you pass that test? (By then she was giggling) are you still hungry? Go out and celebrate the experience!!!

So when they get home I will get out that cake and tell her how proud I am of her hard work and determination and we will celebrate the experience!

You can bet she WILL try again. ;)

Regarding the insulator, I wrote Kanger and received this reply:

Thank you for the email. Please be informed that the Mini RBA is already upgraded; both transparent and light brown insulators have the same function. Kangertech US Service Center is only authorized to send the SUBTANK RBA insulator in free of charge. For the Mini RBA insulator, you will need to send back the insulator to our customer service center at 11555 Medlock Bridge Rd. Suite 100, Johns Creek, GA 30097. Once we receive your Mini RBA insulator, we will arrange the insulator for you.

Best regards,

KangerTech US Sales & Service Center

Just sharing!!

Bov, flavor comes first for me as well (though I have to admit, the clouds are rather fun ;) ) I switched out my lemon/menthol that I've been vaping for my coffee juice...not so good. I used the RBA and (surprise!) it had a coil already built in it so I cottoned it up and started off with a reading of 0.6Ω.

It was very harsh, a tad bitter and had a bite to it no matter where I put the wattage.

Could be my "build" (I don't think so, but could be—not ruling it out).

I am leaning towards too much flavor percentage in the coffee...I've tweaked it over the years (yes, years, wow!) to accomodate whatever device I'm using and it's at a fairly high percent.

Thinking I may need to bring it down.

That and the nic, lol!!

Back later!! Congratulations my fellow newbie KSMers!!
