Good morning and thanx for all the well wishes. Had to do a routine PFT and get some scripts refilled. Lungs checked out ok with not much change from last time. Hope y'all have a super fine Tuesday.

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue and looking for advice please?
I had one of the girls at work build my dripper yesterday. It reads .7 ohms. Last night I gave it a whirl, and I love the hit it gives....no coughing (YAY)! After a few hits the istick 50 goes nuts!!!! First thing it shut down completely mid hit, I"m talking no LED screen, and the weirdest thing....it flips to left handed readings! Got it back by putting the charger on it for a few minutes, set it to right handed read again and took a few more hits. Those hits were all over the place....from a great one, to a very hot one, then back to nothing and black screen.
What the heck are your thoughts on this? It performed flawlessly with the KSM. Too low of a build? Wonky iStick50? I will have my co worker look at it again tomorrow but in the meantime I wanted to see what you guys and gals think. Thank you in advance as always!!!

Hmmm Tracy, it's possible that you have some sort of short in your build on the Mutation. Only reason I say that is that your iStick was working fine with your KSM. Did you try putting the KSM back on it to see if it still works right with it? Did you check the resistance of the Mutation on a meter before putting it on the Stick? Or are you going by what your Stick says the resistance is? Your 50w box should have no problems pushing .7 at 16-25w.
All of that said...those are the common symptoms of a wonky iStick. If it still works fine with your KSM tho, I would suspect the Mutation and/or the build on it.

You said .7 dual coils...is each coil .7? Isn't the total resistance of duals half of each coil?

You're the bestest Bov! I did put the KSM back on (bc it scared the crap outta me) and it's acting perfectly normal again. I will have my co worker check her build again tomorrow. I'm too tired to mess with it anymore tonight. The ohms are reading all over the place on the iStick. I will see what happens on the meter. Thanks again!!!

But when it went nuts....those ohms were hopping around all over the place and right in front of my eyes. The hits went from incredible, to too hot, to non existant. All in one short vape session.

When one of my iSticks went south, that's the same way it did...but it did it with everything I tried on it. Both KSMs, a big Nauty and my Nauty mini...all of which worked fine on my Provari.
I bought a little resistance box to screw my deck onto when I mount a coil, and I always check, double check, and check it again after it's all put back together before I put it on my iStick. Just keep an eye on it, and don't leave your KSM screwed on the Stick when you aren't using it until you can verify the problem.
