Dang left the beach and my money....securely hidden...scrubbed up enough change for dinner last night on the trip...went back and got it today....Yay!!!

Late last night I'd vaped the KSM pretty low....scorched vertical coil #3...#4 in there now and Hell Yeah I already burned it a little to...The tank was low on #4 but not that dang low....From here it looks like maybe they shoulda' punched those 2 unpunched sides....I just got 'em to see if they were a game changer compared with the previous offerings...So far the burning is the only change...This too shall pass

Good morning. Don't know about Dee's coil but one of mine burned quick at around 12 watts. I use heavy vg and they just don't seem to wick that well. I like the KSMs but the only success I've had is with the rba period. Same with the egrip. Had a hiccup with the egrip rba at first but now it's all I'll use.

Morning folks :)

Sorry to hear that the vertical coils are a waste of cash, but at least I won't have to find out the hard way.

I've been forced to vape a lot lower watts for the last few days with this sore throat. It has now turned into a full blown cold, but the sore throat part has eased up at least. Hopefully the worst of it is over, and I'm on the mend.

I've lost count of the vertical coils used at this point...The last one burned a shade with the tank at 3/4s full...Primer puffs a plenty it went along for a bit and then the vapor took a nose dive...I threw in the .5 vertical that came in the box...It ohmed at .7 and vapor was scarce...No sound of popping or cracking from the coil with a stamped .5 coil.....That ain't right...I actually prefer my lowest ohms @.8 but if I was looking for .5 and got .7....that's a big jump...Bottom line the verticals don't wick worth a damn...Don't waste your money...

So with no factory coil I whipped the new deck back out...Sawed off a fat azz piece of cotton and pulled the ends up like the old Kayfun style..1/4 cut above the barrel and stuffed the backsides of the holes....It ain't leaking but there is no improvement from the last style deck....I'd roll with the old style and be perfectly happy if that's what I had...Everything I've seen coiling and wicking RBAs tells me there is an airflow threshold that once crossed the flavor diminishes...The KSM definitely crosses that threshold...

Sleep tight Fran :)

Finally decided I better go see my Dr today since feeling better this morn didn't last very long. I've regressed back to grade school...I have tonsillitis  Antibiotics on board and hopefully better in a few days.

Thank you again for your reports on the new KSM and the vertical coils Dee. I'm sorry to hear they are a fail, but at least you got the sexy black tank, and can use the old rba or occ heads.

I had FT split ship my order since they keep setting back the stock date on the new style rba. I think I'll just cancel it, the rest of the order has already shipped. Got some bell caps and a Kuro coiler coming.

Oh NO, Bov :( That is not good at all. I still have my tonsils as well.

The next morning after you mentioned being sick, I woke up with bad sore throat, headache and congestion. I am really hoping it is allergies. My eyes are itchy and the whole nine yards. I really have not had many issues with allergies this year since I have been on the shots for awhile but, it is SO hard to tell allergies from a cold. They both make a person sick with the same symptoms.

I have not had to use Allegra D in awhile but am going to pick some up in the morning and see if it helps. I have way too much going on to be sick now.

I take my mom to the hospital on Friday to have a procedure done ( will be SO glad when that is behind us as I am a little worried) then my son and grandson arrive on Saturday. Son will only stay a few days but, GS will be here for the week :D

Anyway, I sure hope that you feel better soon. (((Hugs))) from a very FAR distance

BTW- I have no clue which coils I am using in my kanger. I will have to look. I have been so far out of the loop I am sure that something new is out. Not sure which Nautilus coils are new either. I have been using the OCC for awhile now and like them a lot. The nautilus coils I use are These are the newest Organic Cotton BVC coils with the larger wicking holes. Updated 02/15

But, I have been using them for a long time. Is there something newer out there?

Hope you feel better soon Bov!!

Same to you Salem and MamaGold to !!!!!!!!

Yes you have the newest Nauty coils...

Just in from watching KSM wick videos....Man what a let down....Like I said I wicked my old school KayFun style....Left the wick long and pulled it up through the barrel...trimmed a shade less than 1/4 inch sticking out...Pushed that straight in and then tried to arrange it so it blocked those holes....No leaks and nearly a dry tank...definitely a dead battery though...So good on that!! Still again like I said...There isn't any noticable difference between the old and new....the new is a shade easier to wick...It uses juice like my Bronco sucks gas
