I think I have discovered why I can't shake off this sinus infection and recurring irritated throat. My window ac unit is so full of mold that it's now all over the air output vents. Looks like I'll be pulling it out and replacing it today. I doubt I can successfully kill all the mold on the styrofoam inside it and most likely hidden behind the styrofoam too.

Got a new ac unit in my window, the old one was put on the curb with a sign "Free and works, but needs a good cleaning." it was gone within an hour

My back and pocket book are both in pitiful shape, but my sinuses are already doing better!

Yeah i think we are going to have to replace our window AC as well. Sounds like ours looks just like yours Bov.

I need to replace 3 window ACs. One at a time of course.
Matter of fact my big one is defrosting as I type this. Wasn't cooling very well so I went to clean the filter and it's frozen fast to the metal!
That one is large, so it's gonna hurt!

I never could get the right pitch on the one I replaced for the rain and condensate to drain properly. I had drilled a hole in the housing but I guess it got plugged up. I took it apart and cleaned it good before I put it to bed last fall. It was about 8 years old.

Yeah Tracy, that's gonna hurt! We don't cool any part of the house except the bedrooms. And Katie wonders why I stay in my room so much

Yup, I'm going in the green pool! Haha
The water is not green, but the vacuum system is pretty pitiful for this type of pool, so everything settled on the bottom. Once we get in and stir it all up it'll look awful again. No win! But I'll be cool!

I just spit tea all over my screen lol. If it's a fairly good size pool and above ground you can start a siphon with the vacuum head/hose and get rid of a whole bunch outside the pool without having to replace too much water. Keeps from clogging the filter with the green crud.

I don't remember what kind of pool vac I had, but that little dude would even crawl up the sides to clean. Ours was above ground, but not one you would take down at season's end. It was an 18ft oval that we built a deck around.
