Sorry about Katie,Bov
Sorry for your loss Salem.....
Got the Dolphin....I had the trailer washed and waiting to return to it's home....Decided to fill the Dolphin for the trip...Filled OK with the yorker....OK not great....Screwed it on the Jaybo and got "atomizer short"...I pulled the pin out a shade and still no connection....I pulled that coil out and slapped in the NiChrome....All was well and yes indeed ceramic coils are the real deal....When I returned I took the original coil apart and found the hot leg in contact with the side of the coil....I fixed that as best I could as there really isn't much room for the hot leg...All was well and I went up to Mom's to write out her bills while she hovered and gave instruction....Puff and atomizer short again.....Slid back to the crib and threw the NiChrome back in for the time being and MFIN SOB atomizer short....After getting a dang long look at the insides of the coil and using my Hella experience in making sheet fly this is what I determined....The coil base where the actual ceramic sits has two prongs to center it over the airflow....Those prongs do nothing to keep the coil from rotating....that last sentence is very important....Clearance for the hot leg is at a premium....The coil is double jam packed with cotton and comes with a little deal e ohh to get the cotton in the barrel and then over the ceramic....that goes well....then you gotta screw the barrel to the base....the ceramic is kinda rough in texture and does a damn good job of gripping the cotton....enough of a good job the hot leg will rotate and contact the side of the base...I wasted one cotton finding out how that all worked...The NiChrome that I never had apart I suspect rotated the hot leg to contact the side from installing into the base....The original coil was in contact from the git go and still is....When changing cotton or if you get the atomizer short just pull the pin and the blue silicon...The hot leg is the one inside the blue slilcon ring...Screwing the barrel to the coil base will rotate the coil and leg...screwing the assembled coil into the tank base again will rotate the coil....I tightened as I normally would....Flavor was great....juice consumption was astronomical as are most...I may fix it or I may smash it with my BFH....Chances are 50 50......
Salem I agree with the rest here. My dolphin came today and I'm going to give it a go!!!
Regardless of whether I love it or not, I will have not a single ill feeling towards you! Promise!!!!
If I get a minute to myself tonight I will set it up. If not, it looks like sometime this weekend. Stay tuned!
