Yeah we got power and already 60* out there...A for real monsoon passed by early in the am...The yard is like a lake....

Old boy getting new diggs........The realist that I am sees him soon resuming his old tricks....Good thing you're somewhat insulated from that.....

About two years back I accepted an offer to work at a shop near me....The ex shop owner/ current painter was having surgery and I was gonna fill in....Unpaid taxes was the reason he was the ex owner and I made said agreement with the current owner the ex's son....Well that all went South pretty quickly as it was a real crap shoot as to whether or not you were getting paid for the week....Never was it on time but don't think for a minute he owes me money....As the world turns a deputy I went to school with came in for a door handle replacement...They had the wrong handle and I knew a trick to forever repair the broken one....As I repaired the handle the deputy whispered "What are you doing here?????".....Told me the ex was under investigation for hustling pills and given my history he assumed I had involvement....Now I'd heard a plenty about the ex and young girls he swayed with said pills....The ex thought it was special to take nude photos with his phone and then show them to anyone willing to take a look.....As far as I know the investigation hasn't yielded any results.....The pay was late yet again and that's when the sheet hit the fan....I got my money in thirty minutes but refused the begging to stay on....truth is I was hunting the opportunity to bust the ex's teeth outta his head....Doing what he does with a growing number of young girls I just can't figure why someone hasn't laid him down....I know there is a special place in Hell for that bass turd and believe one thing....I'm still on the hunt and will provoke confrontation at the drop of a hat.....He deserves much worse than a beat down IMO........That's just the way I see it

Yes Dee, I'm somewhat insulated...and glad to get the move out of the way. It was raining hard all afternoon here and that made the trip a bit more nerve wracking. Back home safe and sound, ex is on his way bus hopping back to his own place. I told Moon the other night that this was one trip I wished you lived closer to me for, Dee

I agree on the special place in hell, and I know a few folks who will be keeping your "not" friend company there.

I have to make the 80 mile round trip to move the ex's stuff to his new crib today. Waiting for him to get here  Maybe this will get him out of our hair for awhile!

Ooh, Bov. Not sure what is up with that but, please be careful! I know that you will ;)

Today was a little rough for me. Partly good news is that my mom did test positive for UTI. Not sure if you guys know this but, it causes confusion in elderly people. matter of fact, the confusion can be the only indication that there is one. So, that may turn out to be good news.

Just one HUGE PITA dealing with Drs offices and nurses with really bad attitudes today. Finally got a script waiting at the pharmacy at 8PM tonight. At this point I am going to go and get it in the morning on my way to take my mom for her 3 month blood work. Just a totally aggravating day here. Tomorrow will be a new day though :)

Almost missed all posts except for 2.

Ummm, nope. LD I am 100% positive that you are not the only one that sees things that way. I am glad that your deputy friend gave you the heads up in time for you to high tail it out of there though. If your luck is anything like mine, you would be doing time for something you knew nothing about.

Glad that I did notice your post, Bov. Glad to know it is over and you are safe and sound. I sure hope this will hold him awhile. God knows that you have more than paid your dues :)

Good morning, all. Back home from taking the 3 of us (DH, Mom, me) for blood work. Thinking about a nap already :)

Before I forget, the IJust 2 is not a very good tank to me. Weird but, I get zero flavor using my already broken in cCell with it. May be because the airflow is not as adjustable as other tanks that I have? Not sure but, I don't like it at all.

I read that list of tanks for the C Cell...Freemax Starr was the one that jumped out....I almost bought one when they came out....Something I read made me decide not too....

Walked in on Mom having a full on pity party....tears n all....she was sure Sis had her cell phone cut off....Turns out there was a dispute with the bill and things had been rectified when i went over too Sis' house.....The things I've gotta deal with.....

Chipping away at the insurance stone....All I got left to do is get a bill from my cousin the electrician...That was repaired on day one still no bill.....Got some form to fill out with sheet like clocks and stuff.....Trust I had to do all the leg work....When I total up I will return any check for 2 cents less....Bet that

That Bill Cosby ex-owner of the body shop?????? if I only had the time to type out what I've seen personally and what I've heard......Karma pounds his azz daily.....Still that ain't enough in my book

I'm almost scared to say it, but with all the rain and snow melt yesterday, our basement is still dry. Maybe...just maybe the foundation grading, the cement patching and crack filling I did last summer helped.

Dee, your Mamma is lucky to have you, and in my care taking of Katie I know that they rarely understand just how fortunate they are to have someone taking care of everything. Katie had a very rare moment last night and told me she loves me. This coming from a woman who has said those words maybe twice in the 12 years I've known her.

LD, I had to laugh when i read that about your mom! I know (too well) that it is not funny to deal with but hell, sometimes you just got to get a laugh in somewhere to keep your sanity.

Just the other day, my mom thought that my middle sister had blocked her from calling her phone. Turns out, my mom couldn't find her number in her phone and was not dialing it right. She had been trying to cal

Bov, I kind of posted that info for your benefit. Undiagnosed UTI is extremely common in elderly. Especially folks over 80. A simple urine test is all that is needed. ;)

I am learning way more than I ever wanted to know about what happens when we age. My mom is a first in our family. I never knew any extended family so no real experience as being a caregiver. I am getting a crash course.

Yep Salem, I made a mental note to have Dr Harding do a urine test when I can get Katie to go back to see him.

I'm getting that same crash course on care giving!
Need to rename this thread "Caregivers Retreat". It takes a lot out of a person.
