Rozting time!

Today I'm roasting some India Monsooned Malabar (spicy, earthy, smoky, tobacco notes, wood notes, medium body, medium acidity), plus some Mexico Zongoletta honey process.

First batch of the IMM came out a slightly darker roast than I usually aim for, a bit further into second crack. Gotta figger out who to pass that to . Same with the Zongoletta honey process, one batch a slightly darker roast.

I got about 15ml of coffee extract, that will be enough to test drive. If it turns out good, I'll extract a bigger batch.

DW said she really likes the taste of the IMM beans (we taste a couple beans after cooling), I'm drinking a cup of the Mexican honey process now ( the flavor develops for a few days, but I really wanted a cup of fresh roast )

Well I googled the Delerium RDA that comes with the Therion....Some dude called the vaping Biker from the UK had a review....Big air and no flavor was the outcome of all that...Worse still the Therion....To change the battery you gotta pull the bottle and then a plastic spacer before getting at the 18650...I know that would grind my grits...still at the end of the day the dna chip alone would make the Therion the top squonker in my opinion...I just saved $150....My thinking is squonking is getting ready to explode....I'll be waiting and just may pop on a Tsunami Plus for a little side table action.....

Bikers...I got a Honda Mini Trail 50 in 1968....Couple years back I searched the abandoned property where the boys lived when I sold it to them....It wasn't there and remains lost...Long/short I've got a sheet ton of miles on motorcycles under my belt...It's been HD only since @1988....Still it is what it is....Some of my friends though....they gotta portray an image....leather vests in 100** and such....I got flips and most of the summer no shirt at all.....I portray the image of "damn it's hot out here".....Well given the confusion in my head lately I made some visits the past couple of days....on on purpose and one quiet by accident...Old buddy runs a bike shop and has forever had the attitude problem.....not with me but the old tough guy thingy...He had a twin brother that I was close with who sadly passed a couple of years back with a heart attack...Now this cat recently had a heart attack but the defibulator saved him....13 shocks and he has a defibulator attached atm....he's doing well....we told a few lies and had some laughs....Then at another friend's shop a HD pulls in....Old buddy from long ago I was friends with him and his bride....She had a knee replaced and passed due too a blood clot @ a year ago...I heard but hadn't known of his whereabouts in years......Good touching base with both....Things ain't so bad around here....Now if I could only cross paths with that Mini Trail.....

While writing that book I see "grind for the K cup" pop up....I've been grinding everything on the one step passed 1/2 on the coarse setting....It's been working fine in the K cups so far......What should my K cup grind setting be???????????????

Yeah I've really been enjoying cold brew

For k cup you want a medium-fine. You'll get a better extract using that. The faster the brewing process the finer the grind.

(I had no clue, but a couple friends use the adapters and told me.)

They were ok, Salem, but nothing to rave about. I'm pretty happy with my mostly Flavor West stocked shelf. Funny thing...when I first started DIY, I hated Capella's Vanilla Custard, lately I can't live without it! Straight up, V1, diacetyl be damned

I mixed a bottle of the coffee extract this afternoon. Total flavor at 5.5%. 40% coffee / 60% Bavarian Cream. It passed the finger taste test, we'll see how it develops and vapes.

Love reading your stories, Dee! Some days are made for looking up old friends. I have a few from my old home town on FB, but sometimes it's hard to relate to them and the way they view the world.

I LOVE Capella Vanilla Custard V1 as well. I am not afraid of the minute amount of diacetyl in there. The entire thing was blown way out of proportion IMHO Although everyone has the right to make their own choice in the matter.

Thanks for the opinion on OOO. I haven't even tried mine because the "aroma" is a turn off on most.

If you ever feel like trying something new, I have been using FLV for at least a year now. The ones that I have tried are outstanding.

I have no doubt that they are very good. I just have so many (like the OOO) that I have not even tried yet lol I at least need to try what I have before moving on to another one.

I just got a bunch of the new FA flavors a few weeks ago. They actually smell good. I just need to mix them up and try them.

I never worried about the diacetyl either, just wanted transparency from the vendors. If I have a choice of V1 and V2 of a flavor, I'm going with V1 most of the time.

Dee, do you know what the core and wrap is on your clapton ?.... Some are all Kanthal, some all Nichrome or a Kanthal core with a Nichrome wrap. Most of the ones I see are 26-30 core with 36-40 wrap.

36/28 kanthal.....That's all I know....I was double dang sure that was gonna ohm lower than I'd like...Prior too ordering I watched Grimm coiling some RDAs and his was smaller diameter....That's why I went with 36/28....I got a roll in SS as well that's a fraction bigger but unused as of yet....In reality 5 2.5 mm wraps at 1.2 ain't bad for the Kayfun....

Last go round on the mixing I ran dry early on Snake Oil....So I threw together a 480 and rolled....then when dry on everything else I threw another SO 480 together and forgot about the other until today....It's prolly 2 months old and there is a definite better flavor from the steep time.....Time for a coil and wick in that KF sos I suspect it will get even better then.....

Found the squonk Therion for 129$$....I looked at all the squonkers and like the Council of Vapor Wraith the best...Haven't read any reviews though and that DNA chip is still calling my name....They also had the Tsunami Plus in stock....Anybody know a code for Element Vape?????????

Old friend posted a class obituary from Lee County 1979....I graduated one county south.....Western Harnett 1978.....We mingled....we partied....I partied alot....That video smacked me down and then kicked me a few times.....

We're entertaining another tropical system....It was off South Carolina and has come here...Not really sure what it's gonna do long term but awhile ago the dang bottom fell out big time....then there's that whole thing with soon to be Hurricane Karl...Where it's at and the direction it's headed.....well....i ain't liking it one bit...
