My little fur man has developed an ear infection. He started getting fussy last night, shivering and pawing at his left ear. I still have some T8 Keto ear flush, and have been giving him baby aspirin. Hoping I don't have to take him back to the vet, but that may be on the list for tomorrow.

I've started playing with those ceramic coils. They're a bit of a bugger to install in the Melo ECR heads! Only the thinnest layer of cotton, and I still had to be "forceful" in getting it set.

Put it in the base, onto the mod to check - about 0.5ohm. Put the tank on - SHORT. Pull it back out, check to make sure I don't have any leads sticking out - no tank - 0.5 ohm. tank on - SHORT. Fiddle a bit, finally get it working. That beastie runs HOT. Out for a walk, and part way, SHORT. Got any suggestions?

Bovina, sorry to hear about the furbaby. Our Big Dumb Dog has something going on with her ears too. I think all the recent rain/humidity/moisture - blech.... Hope the wee one gets to feeling better!

Thanks to all...Chase has been sleeping good for the last few hours and I'm hoping that's a good sign. He turned 13 last month, his Cushing's Disease makes him prone to skin, eye, and ear infections.

I don't do the ceramic heads, but what you are dealing with would make me chuck that thing as hard as I could, Dinger! I'm still happy as can be with my Uwell Crowns and .5 stock dual coils

LOL, Lynn! I love boiled, mashed turnips. I bring them to a boil, pour off the first batch of water, then bring them back to boil with fresh water...and a blob of bacon grease, and a tiny dab of sugar.

Ooh, I don't even have my gall bladder anymore and the thought of adding a blob of bacon grease just makes me a little queasy. YIKES! I am sure that it tastes good. just don't think that I could do it.

I sure don't. I wish that I did. I got 3 ags of them in last week. just haven't tried to install one in the ECR yet. Not long after I bought them, another member here sent me a message about them. She was also hoping that I had suggestions for her. Her issue was that she just could not get them to taste right compared to the cCell. She has the 1 ohm though. After I heard from her, I had a bad feeling that they were going to be a PITA By then it was too late though.

Now, Vaporesso is getting ready to release the Estoc. If those end up being as good as they are saying they are, it may not even be worth fiddling with the FT ceramics.

I am not one that likes to fiddle with vape gear. Easy, peasy, plug and play makes me very happy.

I didn't have good luck with the ceramic coils either....I only rolled with a 5 pack and 3 of those were duds....Heard there was a bad batch...Those were mine....

Oil out the muffler.....Could have been from the build of the engine....assembly oil....Could be they ran the engine after building and drained it....Unless it drains for days there's gonna be oil in the engine....Sometimes a fresh engine blows a little oil before the rings take a seat....Best bet....they ran it and drained it....during shipping it was on it's side or upside down for a while....That sounds likely since it has cleared up....I'd run the oil that came with it for this year....Next year I'd put the good stuff in there....I run Opti synthetic in the Snapper and old school dinosaur Valvoline Racing 30W in the Cub with a 1/4 cut of Lucas Stabilizer....30 years old and holds 40psi oil pressure....racing oil or lawnmower specific oils don't have to meet SFI emission standards....3 quarts and a filter for the HD....$80 buckaroos....The lawnmower should be fine if no more oil is seen.....no smoke either...Hope Chase feels better!!!!!!!

That firewood pile makes those gas logs look a little better....Was looking at a Mr. Heater wall mount LP with a fan....I got an electric furnace and a middle finger for the utility company....For a couple of years I've been dragging grill tanks in the crib and running my little Mr. Heater in the dining room....That's about as redneck as it gets....I need to get back on that other heater but it ain't 24* so I'll procrastinate.....

I found some 4 foot led shop lights at Sam's for @$30 a pop....I got one from Lowes when I remodeled the compressor room and it was $55 and no where near as nice....I got 8 four footers in the paint booth portion of the shop....Slapped in that one led in place of one gone South and there is a noticeable difference....getting 3 more tomorrow and gonna run those in the center of the booth...old ones on the outside till I can get 4 more...I wanna run them awhile before I dive in the deep end....While the rain was pounding....it's now a cold front mixed with tropical depression Julia.....that's a cluster....I fabbed up a wall mount to hang the DeWalt battery powered weed eater....It's outta treated plywood...had to space it out and glued the spacers on....waiting on drying....3 inch screws will go through the mount and spacer blocks so it should raise Hell for the duration.....and.....the damn weedeater won't be tripping my azz any longer...

LD, these are just the ceramic cores that we are trying to use with our ECR heads after seeing a comment at FT that they work with the ECR and were easy to install. I think that we have quite a few ceramic coil lovers in this thread now

Thank you Dee, the mower did stop chucking oil and smoking after running for a few minutes. Checked the oil after I was done and the mower cooled down...it was fine.

Welp, Chase is only feeling better when he has baby aspirin in him. I called the vet, appt for 7 this evening.

Not knocking the ceramic coils....Mine were duds. I did most enjoy the two that were good....My main reason for not picking up more.....I was using a Triton II....Didn't like the T II and still don't....Debated picking up a Tobecco Super Tank and then the KF5 hit the market....The whole ceramic concept is great....I look forward to the new Vaporesso offerings....

Hoping chase gets some relief today....When an ear is infected life ain't easy.....

My best bet on the mower.....Shipped with the muffler on the down side...What oil that was in there drained to where it's never intended to be....Heat cycles when new help an engine tremendously....Crank and run until fully hot.....let it fully cool.....I'd make double damn sure all gasoline is ethanol free and on top of that add a dose of Sea Foam to the tank...That old Cub gets Sea Foam every tankful....The Snapper only during winter months...

Agreed. Mine will not go to waste either. I will give them a shot in the ECR over the next few days. The price was cheap enough and I too will not let them go to waste.

Did you try using another core? Maybe there was just something off in the one that you tried.
