Good morning!

Yay Wharf! I'm glad Kia is coming home!

Mark, you wanted rain so I'm happy you got some. I hope you're feeling better!

Dee, I hope your mom is still on the road to recovery.

Tracy, oh no! I hope you get to keep your job!

Salem, thanks for the recipe!

Yes they do! My dad was a big Cubs fan. He's probably watching and cheering from heaven. :)

Awe, I hope so, Lynne. :) Really, I am more of a Braves fan but I do like the Cubs as well.

You have to give it to their fans for being so supportive and loyal though. Chicagoans truly love and more than fully support them. Through thick and thin. I think that's great. :)

It should be a very good series. It has been 78 years for them and I think 71 years for the Indians since either have been to the World Series. They should be able to smoke the Indians but, they both want it badly.

Die hard Yankees fan here. ;) I'm pulling for the Cubs even though normally I'm an American League girl. :)

I just wanna see Charlie Sheen throw out the first pitch....Wild Thing !!!!!!!!!!

Very sad news from the family....My cuzz Elizabeth is the one who paved the way for Mom to get in the best rehab around....This morning her companion of 7 years Lily the Doberman passed with a heart attack...Friday when I dropped off that cake for delivery it was Lily who kept me sitting in the car rubbing her head until my Unc came out to see if I needed help....I'm sure gonna miss Lily.....

With that sad news I decided time for a road trip and some head clearing...The beach house is fine...Only damage in the neighborhood was the roof over the pumps at the local gas station....it flipped over and into the store....Hell they never have gas anyways and the locals look at me like I'm cra cra whenever I drove the mower up there to fill up....Dang old battery was dead in the mower and I had to patch together 25 drop cords to get the charger connected...The mower is hydrostatic drive and you're not supposed to push them coupled with the fact I didn't know if it would start and I damn sure didn't wanna leave it outside for any length of time....pushing it down the ramp would have been easy....back up the ramp probably not gonna happen...I sprayed some round up and charged away....The mower did start and the grass got the Sgt. Carter...Got the faulty battery in the back of the truck....That battery was an experiment with AGM technology...It's been in there for triple the time any other battery has and I'm gonna get another AGM should this one fail the load test....Matthew did more destruction up here than it did down at Surf City or anywhere on route....I've still got a kazillion limbs down here with an already bonzo bonfire pile going....I might just throw some fuel on that pile and light it tomorrow about dark thirty...Mom was doing well last evening and I'll be checking in on her tomorrow...

I'm sorry to hear about Lily :(

Happy to hear your Mom is doing ok, hope she continues to improve. Also happy to know your beach house is still there and in good shape.

My new battery powered leaf blower doesn't push as much air as the electric one (120mph), which I expected, but it is so much lighter that the trade off will be worth it. Not to mention not having to drag a mile of power cord around. The new one will get most jobs done, and I can still bust out the old one if needed.

Awe. LD, I am so very sorry to hear about Lily. You already know how much I love animals. I know the heartbreak of losing them only too well. :( 7 years is not very old for a dog either. I feel sure that they feel as if they just lost a child.

The news about the beach house and your mom is very good to hear though.

Thanks for the well wishes !!!! Lily gave and received much love in her days with us...

I sprung for the DeWalt battery powered blower....It does OK and is very convenient....When it's time for big time bowing I use the old Stihl backpack blower....Nothing like the frustration of trying to get that beech started....and yeah it's fresh from the shop....I also purchased the DeWalt battery powered weed eater...Same battery as the blower....I'd say the weed eater is just as powerful as a gas model and I have no problem getting thru my weeds with a single charge....

Usually after an event such as Matthew I like to check the perimeter floors in the house for signs of moisture...Forgot that until I'd done everything else and by that time didn't have enough fuel left in my tank...Did notice someone had tied a orange ribbon on my property corner marker...That was out front and away from the tree trimmer...Corners with a nice but overgrown corner lot...Now if that lot comes on the market and my house is paid off......just maybe I might be interested....but probably not....Time for me to head out and tie some very loose ends....
