Mech Pro has a firing button issue on my unit; my 5 minute look is that there's probably a tiny manufacturing tolerance issue, a sliver of plastic added at one point under the negative conductor metal band will likely take care of it. Cvapor is being a good vendor, says they'll have Geekvape send a new unit (I sent a one minute video depicting the problem), that I shouldn't have to return the original unit. Once that happens I'll feel free to see if my fix is indeed what is needed.

Nothing much to report on here....Made it back home with the trailer in tow....All this rain has the grass growing like gangbusters....Gonna cruise the uwell site here in a minute....

I've haven't done first mowing of the year yet [emoji5]. With any luck I'll get to it this weekend, but we've had a string of rainy weekends.

Dr appt for Katie today. She's been having episodes of low blood pressure that cause her to periodically faint upon standing. Pretty scary for her and me. Hoping for an easy fix with med adjustment, praying it's not something more serious.

Mom has @ 1/4 acre of grass in her front yard....That's been cut several times already....The beach grass has been cut twice and needed it both times....There's this one neighbor down there that's the grass police...Couple years back I got a letter saying if I didn't cut it the city would and send me a bill....Old classmate down the street got the same letter last year....letter says they've received a complaint.....I got nearly three acres of grass in my yard....I cut that only when it's getting wild....it's near that now and raining just a little off and on....

Hopefully Katy's low blood pressure is due to her medication.......

My Dad and his brother never did get along.....That whole story could stretch several pages but can be summed up with one word....Chizler.....Here lately he tried to borrow Mom's car for a 250 mile one way trip...offered to buy the car....went so far as to look up the book value....schemed up a plan for me to clean out his storage building so he can have me to haul stuff from his Myrtle Beach condo that he wants to rent for the winter months......I got trucks....I got trailers.....I paid on those for years......I'm gonna ride up there as Old Uncle hauled nearly everything my Grandad owned to his house....This ain't gonna end well for him....

Welp, our Dr had me take Katie to the hospital to be admitted. Turns out it's not her blood pressure, she's fairly seriously anemic. Stool sample shows positive for blood, so they think she has a GI bleed. It's not an emergency, the GI Dr will examine her tomorrow morning. The good news is chest xray, ekg, and all blood work (except h&h) look good...hemo and crit indicate the gi bleed. She's not happy, and doesn't understand what's going on, but she's in good hands right by the nurse's station. Hopefully we'll know more sometime tomorrow.

Hospital called to say her blood count is lower so there is definitely an active bleed. Gave them permission for a blood transfusion. The call was early, so the GI doc hadn't been in to see her yet. I'll update as I can.

Of course I missed the call from the GI doc, I'm not used to taking my phone to the bathroom with me. Trying to be patient with the hospital, knowing that they are at full capacity and had 50 surgeries booked today!! That's crazy busy for our small town! But getting further info has been futile. Katie is perkier today after the fluids and transfusion, but I still don't know what the plan is. Frustrating, but at least I know she's stable and safe! They let her have a liquid dinner, and she drank her mater soup, a ginger ale, and strawberry ice cream.

If I had to guess, I expect they will check her crit again to see if she's still bleeding, and if so, they will probably scope her.

Old Unk is 82 and one of those folks you never hear a peep from until he needs help....and he needs a lot of fekkin' help......He is more worried about saving a dollar than anyone I know and trust there are a lot of skinflints around here....I'm good with that but not when I gotta sacrifice....He's got 2 grown kids but my phone is the one always ringing...Enough about him....He'll be OK and so will I....That said I did help clean out his building and found a bunch of my Grandad's old tools under mountains of trash....Junk to most but priceless to the Kid....

I do pray that Katy gets well really soon.....I saw earlier where she had ice cream today....Once Mom was in rehab for a broken femur....there were several old folks in there I knew...I'd take her and her roomie a ice cream sammich when I'd go....That quickly escalated to a whole box for the patients of the hall....Yahh ain't hungry???? Here eat it anyway !!!!! They always disappeared real quick....

Put funds in for some internet shopping today....Crown 3....Orange and Green Crown 3 tips and a box of .5 coils to see how it goes....Just getting one 3 until I try it out....Rtic cooler on the list as well....The small one with the SS carry handle....That way I can carry my food to the beach from here and bring shrimp back with little ice needed....plus carry water on the boat....Supposedly equal to a Yeti for a fraction of the price....

LoL at the ice cream sammiches, Dee!! Those disappear around here real fast too, Katie loves them!

I feel like a heel, but I haven't been to the hospital today. I strongly encouraged the ex to go, but not my policeman's hat to wear. No change in her status, and still not a peep from any Dr.

My carpenter youngins worked hard to beat the rain today, and wrapped up just as it started to sprinkle. The railings will go up when the swing gets here.
