Today is gorgeous, perfect for camp, but I was volunteered to play chauffeur for DW and the SILs.

We went to Ithaca, the Johnson Museum at Cornell, then a late lunch at a decent Mexican restaurant. Right now we're at our third (last) general shopping stop, then headed back towards Syracuse.

Tomorrow morning I'll be taking people to a village yard sale, then out to camp if I'm lucky. I'm itching to finish the point project.

I'm still trying to pick up a two stroke long shaft motor for our homemade boat. I think I have a good lead from Craigslist (4hp Yamaha), hopefully the guy will be back in town tomorrow or Monday; he's presently using it on his own sailboat, finishing work on another ob that he'll switch to.

If you would like a lightly used black Oceanus, you're welcome to it. I also have a new Ammit 25 which would work great on it.

(I've gone 100% squonk, other than playing around with a couple of pods that have caught my eye. My rebuilt mech squonkers and the pulse 80w are all I use.)

I'm hoping the Yamaha comes through. Backup would be an ancient (70s) Evinrude that is supposed to have been well maintained, but it's a bit heavier than I'd like to go with, and parts are a concern.

(Electrical, plumbing, carpentry I do, but have never had the knack or spent the time to be good at mechanical things. Belts, plugs, oil changes and some snow thrower/lawn tractor stuff is my limit. That's why I like my little Minnkota trolling motor, though I need a backup with more oomph - the Minnkota is simple, and I designed the solar charger system for it.)

For pods, I recently ordered an aspire spryte and an aspire gusto mini. The spryte takes replaceable heads, including ones for the nautilus mini. Halo has a promotion for the gusto mini - order a 3 pack of replacement pods and you can get a base gusto mini kit for $1 (code VAP360B3GO1), net $13 including 4 total pods (and the pods are pretty easily refillable).

Good morning everyone!
Why is 908 up so darn early on a Saturday you ask?
Because the new hire was a flake.

He never called nor showed for his second day (literally an hour or two) of training on Thursday. I have no tolerance nor patience for bs so I promptly sent him packing and hired another candidate. She comes in this afternoon to fill out the paperwork and get a feel for how things run. After speaking for nearly an hour on the phone, I feel pretty confident with her skill set and desire to work. (33, mother of 2)

I don’t know wth happened to most of the kids today (last candidate was 22) but dang they are full of excuses and a lack of work ethic. Next!!!!

On a more positive note, the weather was gorgeous yesterday! Humidity can kick rocks!!!

Wishing you all a great weekend. Hugs!

I got the little aspire gusto mini in. Small, discrete, well built, refillable pod, a respectable vape. It won't replace my daily driver squonkers, but would be great when I want something more low key.

I'll be curious to see what the aspire spryte is like. The spryte uses a normal head, compatible with the nautilus mini.

HOPEFULLY the stress crested about 3 hours ago. Between work, planning and packing we are about 85% ready. Still looking for guided tours but that will come. We're heading down to Socal Tuesday afternoon. We'll be up at 3am, on the road at 4 and checked in at 5:30. 18:shock:hrs (14 in the air) later we'll be wiped out in our Hotel in Osaka.

Guess who got busted vaping in Wal-Mart ??????????? You got rules I'll break "em....Trust that.....

Temps have been pretty moderate considering it's July in the South...For the second time in two weeks we've had a Tropical Storm form off our coast...."Chris"...Last I saw it was 5mph shy of a hurricane....

Spent the afternoon cutting grass and monkeying with a pressure washer I purchased in 1993....That pressure washer has given me a good run but I've always taken care of it....Had to dig up the specs of a long out of production pump to match the tips on the spray wand....first I had 2 gallons per minute....I exchanged them for 2.5 gpm...found an ancient post on a forum and the dang thing puts out 2.85 gpm....Those other tips were lacking just a shade....My figuring.... if they're a little small there will be more pressure was a big old Hell No!!! Gonna hit the Northern Tool tomorrow and get the 3gpm tips....Maybe then I can wash the funk off the house...I got two pressure washer hoses and a Crown Royal bag full of tips missing....I've looked everywhere and it's not like those hoses would be easily misplaced....If I can't work this all out with the proper tips I've got my eye on a Mack Daddy pressure washer....Gonna give it one more go with the proper sized tips though...Last week I thought a tip was a tip.....They got a whole dang wall of tips ranging from 2 ~ 6 gallons per minute...The one I've been eyeballing is 4000 psi and only 3.5 gpm....I wanna see the one that uses 6 gpm....

Hahaha!! I have a diabetic eye exam in about an hour, we'll see if I get busted sneaking a vape there

I enjoyed the milder temps the last couple of days too. Took Chase outside a few minutes ago and it was like getting hit in the face with a steam cloth! Air quality alert for us today.
