Well I gotta hit a funeral tomorrow....no one close just supporting some family members...had 40 dress slacks....way loose....had 36....little tight....got 38s now and just loose enough everything should be fine....

Spent the rest of the day replacing deck boards....Ask me about the one that runs up under the stairs....Then ask me about how when I cut it an inch longer that I measured and had to not only get it out but back in...I've done wood work since the 70s and have gotta say the wood today is really disappointing...I've been drying those boards for days and they're still wet...The deck is 24 foot wide so that equals joints on deck...Couple of boards split....couple curled up on the ends at the joints....I'm laying the blame on trees that are to young...The grain tightens over the years and strengthens the tree....Treated lumber that's sopping wet is a major pet peeve also...Every board on that deck was hand picked by me and still they fail....Anyways I should have that wrapped by Sunday or so depending on the weather and that funeral....Then it's pressure washing before stain....

Hey All !!!.... We’re back

Woke up In Osaka at 8am Wednesday (4pm Tuesday PST) and got in bed 33 hrs later. The 4 ½ hour drive home was brutal. Was going to take a half a day Thursday but called the boss for the rest of the day. Never had jet lad so bad. Still hurting us today.

The trip was amazing and will try to put together a coherent summary this weekend [emoji39]

Welcome home Wharf !!! Couldn't help but notice Kia's boots....I got the same!!!

Word has it we're in for flood after flood the next few days....so far this is holding true as it's rained big time....thunder....lightening....last night a storm rolled through and at 2:45 am knocked out the power....got power back at @7:30....Hot as Hades....storms rolling through and no electricity....Top that with Classic Albums doing Paranoid at 8pm....I found out at 8:10 and immediately tuned in....5 minutes later I lose satellite signal...Everything else repeated later in the evening but not Classic Albums...the rains can come I'm just hoping the power stays on....

I've got a 20700 that got a little wear on the positive side wrap from the Pulse...The Pulse isn't the easiest mod I've ever changed a battery in......it is what it is....This morning I popped that battery in the charger and it didn't align correctly...Was gonna line it up with my index finger and was rewarded with a nice blister...In a flat 1/2 second that battery went from cold to extremely hot and well on it's way to boom city...take my advice if the battery has wear chunk it....

Got all the decking boards changed out and all joints on deck checked and held with screws.....Cart for my backhoe arrived today....little damage on the cart and I'm gonna have to do a little hammer/dolly work where one of the casters bolts up...plus buy a can of hammered silver paint....I could tell the UPS guy was hoping too Hades I didn't say anything...16 bolts/lock washers/flat washers/nuts had escaped the bag and were roaming free in the torn open box...Found the last lock washer beside where the big brown truck was parked so good...I waited two weeks for the cart so I'll get it straight....Paid double for UPS over FedX so that's what I got for that....Gonna hit the Lower in the am and get the hammered silver and a couple/3 2x12s to replace a few steps on the deck....There are three sets of steps and each set needs a step or two replaced...Gonna pressure wash the deck and back of Mom's house once I get the steps done....Completion of carpentry does require a short break before pressure washing....A break filled with new cart repair....YAY !!!!!
