I believe we got the lower end of the 4-8 predicted. Good! School is closed so Maddie will be happy about that.

16 days until SPRING!!!!! **insert a back handspring here** (yeah, in my dreams maybe!)

I’m doing a couple hours of work from home today, then let the digging out begin.

I hope you all have a good day!

Thunderstorms but no severe weather for us last night, thank goodness. I feel sad for all those people in Alabama and Georgia who got hit by tornadoes.

Mark, I'm in Heaven with a cup of your coffee in hand! Hands down, the Papua New Guinea variety is one of the best coffees I've ever had... thank you

It would be my guess that my Personal Doc or the cardiologist who ordered all the tests would be the one who will inform me that they don't know why I had those incidents....I see the personal Doc 3/11 and sometime in May hit the cardiologist's office again.....I've been wandering about the carotid arteries as well.....Seems like when I was getting the echo Wednesday would have been a good time to check....Not sure if carotids are part of the cauterization....Don't think so though....

Nope. The heart Cath does not look at carotid. Only at the heart. You would need an ultrasound specifically looking at carotid. Normally there are indicators that tell them when and if those needed to be looked at.

I have a feeling that you may never know what caused the episodes. My middle sister (passed away from cirrhosis 2017) had a similar incident as yours several years ago. She was working in the heat and thought that had something to do with it. She went to Dr and Dr thought he detected a heart murmur. After testing they said no murmur. Before she passed she was at hospice. They told us that she did indeed have a heart murmur.

Her poor body was so diseased from the alcohol and other indulgences throughout her life that we will never know for sure.

Sounds like this was a wake up call for you and I feel sure that you will do what you need to do in order to take care of yourself.

FWIW- hubby is doing well on prevastatin. Found out that the natural statins are less likely to cause side effects. Problem is that the synthetic statins work much better for most people. We are hoping that this does the trick for him.

Hang in there and good luck!

My sister came down for an unexpected visit this weekend. So, I was tied up with her. We are both still a little shell shocked from the experience with my mom. Gone a month already on Wednesday.

Will be thinking if Wharf that day as well.

Today would have been my mama's 84th birthday...she passed in 2002 from breast cancer. Salem, you never get over it...you learn to live around it

This wet, cold weather has me hurting, but Bella and I still managed to clock 28 miles of walking on my Fitbit last week. My newest spot for the psoriatic arthritis is at the base of my left thumb, bottom knuckle and in the little bony area where your thumb connects to the wrist. Makes my grip in that hand almost useless. Lower lumbar, sacrum and hips are not new for me, but still screaming  Better days are on the way!

Yeah.....I'd little hope of a reason why for the episodes....Diagnosed by Witchdoktor Dee as directly related to high blood pressure....I gotta admit those carotids have me a little paranoid though....Wrist feels pretty OK....There's still a small bump where the needle went in....We had 21*forecast this am....Didn't really feel that cold on Spike's trip out....Still with the cold and wrist combined it's very light duty for the day....

We missed the storm that others had, but are due for lake effect. 8 - 14" tonight through Thursday morning, localized up to 18". Temps will be a brisk 10 - 15F, to get the blood moving while snow blowing [emoji106]
Hope you get the low end of that.

Wow,Bov, my mom would have been 82 on the 16th of this month.

I am riddled with arthritis as well. I have had multiple surgeries on my hands. I also have arthritis at the base of both thumbs as you do.

I have been using Turmeric capsules for a few years now. You have to get the right kind but trust me when I tell you that it actually works for inflammation and it works well!

I know exactly what you are talking about not being able to grip. I was the same way until I started taking Turneric. It is a spice and completely natural. Really changed my life.

Mark, I’m hoping if you have to be getting more snow, you at least get the low end of the totals. Don’t worry my friend, that thing they call spring should arrive soon.

Salem I would love to learn what the correct kind of turmeric is that helped you so much. Bo has joint pain and The glucosamine chondrointin (sp?) helps but only so much. I’d love to get him to try it.

Bov and Salem, hugs to both of you on your mothers birthdays.

    ElDee you hang in there!

I'm interested in the correct turmeric as well. All in all, I have very little to complain about, but yesterday was just a rant day

This sweet little face chewed up my electric blanket cord while I was in the shower last night! So glad it didn't fry her!! Did I mention our low was 26 last night??

Cold as a well digger's buttocks outside....so.....I'm inside.....Working on a little pre Spring cleaning of the crib....Trust it needs a good cleaning....

Tumeric is I believe the spice that needs combo with black pepper for best absorption....I had a bottle but by the end of it forgot what I bought it for.......I fell in with the enzyme Serrapeptase @ a year ago....Said to clear arteries.....remove scar tissue....thin sinus mucus....With the Cath last week and the 30~40% blockage being called good by the Doc maybe just maybe it does clear arteries....Relatively free from any joint pain so maybe it does remove scar tissue....Thinning the sinus mucus it definitely does and that has been a God send to me...I'm sticking with it and suggest you give it a whirl if you have sinus issues or allergies...YMMV...I've been hitting the Bragg's vinegar for the LDLs....Mom had some red rice yeast pills for LDL as well and I've been taking those...Been watching my diet as well though I've been hitting the sweets a bit to much...Hey no nicotine and a Hellacious past month I deserved a couple damn Snickers....Refined carbs are no good for LDLs though so I gotta clean that up and I've already went back to the apples for sweet treats...The Tumeric I've read on in the past...it's great and I should have some....Needing to research the LDL thing again so I can up my game there....Pretty sure cinnamon was in the LDL combo I need....Cinnamon is faked and I suspect Tumeric is as well....I use Vita-Cost for such purchases and need to hit them for some Tuesday's Plantation Cinnamon/Tea Tree chewing sticks....Since I've quit the vapors I've destroyed a bunch of those Plackers and toothpicks....No vapors though....The Vita-Cost does pretty good research on the items they sell and I suggest you investigate any purchases even further....A lot of fake sheet out there....

If I haven't mentioned it......Just about done with cold and wet....Hurry up Sun....Dee awaits
