Way to go mark!!! That’s fantastic! Keep us posted on your journey.

I’m at a comfortable weight currently and have been able to maintain it pretty easily. I too wanted to see what an extra 5 or 10 pounds less would feel like at one point. I got a bit too low in my quest, and it didn’t feel as good as I thought it might so I put 5 lbs back on! You will know.

Sitting at @195lbs and that would be skeleton + 15lbs....said the Hell with it when all the medical stuff came along....Last night I had a Key Lime Pie from Publix.....Gotta keep the weight below 200 though...My statin encouraging Doc made the comment that most people on ketogenic diets test well for LDL....I'd like to see my #s full on ketogenic and 180lbs....before I take a statin I will and if that still doesn't produce a good # I still refuse any thought of statin....

Just back in from yet another run too the beach...Got all the sub-flooring down...I'm telling you there's Hell to pay removing the old sub-floor due too the glue....Gotta touch up one corner with a little sanding and then it's on to vinyl laminate.....That's after I recover from getting up and down off the floor a million times and fighting with that dang glue while sitting sprawled over floor joists....

For me, yesterday I finished adding the bit of extra flashing to the new gutter at camp. I still have one little piece of downspout to replace, and some pea gravel to go under the splash block to guide the water properly; for the time being I have the block sitting on some PT wood scraps, effective but ugly :)

I took the boat out late yesterday, checked the Evinrude 4.5 hp 2 stroke long shaft motor out. Very nice [emoji106] No speed demon, but I was able to make way against a stiff wind and healthy wave action running the length of the lake (we're on the North end, wind was coming out of the South)

I'm very happy with how smooth the motor runs, and how quiet it is. I tried a POS air cooled China standard shaft 2 years back - noisy as all get out, under powered, and the shaft was simply too short for our boat.

I may add a float at the power end of the raft/boat. With 55lb of outboard, the trolling motor, trolling motor battery, and yours truly parked at one end, it sits a bit lower than the far end which is open deck and ladder; nothing bad, just a couple inches lower due to weight distribution. I have enough space (18" gap between the two existing 36 x 48 x 12 floats) to put in a 12 x 48 x 12 float, another 200 lb of buoyancy after allowing for the float weight.

Ahh, well, that would be a Fall job - time to enjoy things for the summer [emoji3]

Bella is helping me lay patio pavers. It would probably be easier to dig the whole area out, square it, add the sand, pack, and screed. Then the pavers could go in...boom boom, but budget requires only a few blocks at a time. I also hope to one day be able to expand the stoop, it's very awkward going in and out the back door with those narrow steps.

Dee, if you look close, you'll see that Vandyvape Pulse and the Asmodus keeping my water bottle company :)

Got a nice little downpour last night and my pavers are still there. That's a good sign  I'm wanting to work, but my hip is insisting I take some time off
It's best to listen to your body at this time:)

Yeah listen to your body...I got that vinyl plank installed in the bathroom Wednesday...Many cuts around toilet flanges/vanities/ac vents....It looks like money but all the up and down and small cat fights getting it fit together took a toll....Now I gotta get back down there and keep fighting....The rest of the time has been spent on the lawnmower or taking some old school azalea bushes down to ground level.....

The finger lakes got about 5" of rain across the region Wed, then FL plus our area got 2" Thursday.

The lake our camp is at goes up 6" per inch of widespread rain. That's held true - water level is up 3-1/2' since before the rain [emoji3]

I've lengthened some of the mooring lines for our boat (they were due for replacement anyhow), it gave me a chance to do a little scuba diving[emoji106] With a bit of drier weather (a gorgeous weekend), the water level should start slowly dropping tomorrow or Monday.

I've decided I want to spread the four moorings we normally use out a bit, another 4' separation. I'll use my 60lb lift bag to make them more manageable.

(Each mooring = 2x5 gal bucket of concrete, bonded with a 3/4" bolt. Accounting for the 40 lb/bucket of water displaced, each mooring "weighs" 120lb in the water. Using a 60lb lift bag means I'll only be horsing around 60lb - MUCH easier than moving 120lb [emoji3])
