Dee, I'm glad you dodged that BBQ guy's thoughtless bullet! Even with our new mask ordinance, some people are defying it. And not many stores are enforcing it outside of their employees.

Deck update! Hopefully will have an 8x6ft done the last week of this month  Can ya tell I'm excited??
    Oh good.

I had to hit the grocery for myself and Mom today...Hit the Petco for Spike....Cuzzo hand made me a mask and as a funny it's got the UNC Tarheels on it....That ain't my team....The mask is comfortable and covers everything well....You ain't wearing a mask when out and about you're getting the stink eye from me...The virus is real....I don't wanna catch it nor transmit it....A mask is the right thing to do.....I've also got a spray concoction of 1/2 91% ISO and 1/2 straight sugar Moonshine....That sheet is powerful....I'm careful when shopping and take a shower with the Shine when I hit the truck...Close your eyes and snort what you can stand into your nose....It'll evaporate sooner or later just be careful before sparking up any cigars....Pretty sure your hands on fire kill covids damn fast.....

Those ding dang cabinets are painted about 5/8th an inch inside the door frame....So a 1 inch Purdy Brush.....paint the top.....paint the sides....paint the bottom....make sure not to hit the shelf in the middle when painting the sides....26 doors so 52 times you gotta do that sheet....Dag on light above the sink is in a well with scroll cut wood out front on the cabinets....Jeezus!!!! Shopping and Sis cooking dinner tonight cut me back to 2 hours paint time today....I got the door frames on the top hit once....Gonna take at least until Sunday to get the top portion of the cabinets done...They look good though and with Mom at 88 I know my cabinet painting days are soon gonna be over.....

Cuzzo's Ex sent us the check to finish those sliding doors....So we got paid for fixing that hole blown in the floor....2.5 months later....Now she's got 4 new sliders looking out over the lake....The wall takes a 90 and there are 2 more sliders there that are still old and wooden....The new ones are vinyl and white not brown....brown that she coulda' ordered but didn't....That deck has another slider into the bedroom that's also jacked up....We get what we got done old salesman Dee is gonna suggest 3 more sliders...No use 1/2 azzing it now....The ceiling in the laundry and double garage is jacked up from when the shingles were leaking....That's in the future and if I'm over at that lake putting up sheetrock rest assured I'll not be lacking in the cashola department....Hopefully the other check will be cleared the bank tomorrow....I'm not doing anything at the lake until after the kitchen is done and my big boat is sold....She takes two months to pay why hurry now????

Glad you got paid for all that work ElDee; and dodging that bullet at the bbq! People are just so irresponsible and selfish it truly makes me sick!

Good for you Bov for standing your ground with the neighbor! And yes I’m very excited to see all the new happenings in your yard. Yayyyy!

Thank you Mark for sharing what has worked for you with Android. I have an iPhone, but hubs has an android. (Work issued phone) That app might just come in handy!

Update - I decided to check the latest Facebook alternatives, went to "Phoenix - Facebook & Messenger" by Unamania. It's free, no ads, appears to be light on system resources (a good thing).

Also, Friendly for Facebook is supposed tip be available on iPhone too.

    A fun day...

DW was staying home with Sidney and or other pooches while I headed out to camp to take care of some outside chores.

Lawn tractor wouldn't start - I thought it ran out of gas when I last used it, brought a fresh can out, but it was dead - not even a click.

The battery is new, from last year, but just in case I went to the shed to pull out the trickle charger.

I took the lock off and barely opened the shed door when a big swarm of tiny yellow jackets flew out. Much stinging action ensued - both cheeks (thankfully I had wraparound sunglasses on), arms, multiple in the ankles, and a couple got inside my shirt (always fun).

Of course I keep a can of wasp and yj spray at camp - in the shed [emoji16]

I had to go back to close the door, used a 10' board to get it to shut and stay closed. Only 2 more stings... (At least 20 of them were on the outside of one of the floors, guard duty, and they're able to fly through the gaps between boards in the doors)

Tail between my legs I slunk home, nice shower and a couple of Benadryl.

Long range insecticide spray should be here Tuesday via Amazon, and next trip to camp I'll have my multimeter to trace the tractor problem.

Good thing you're not allergic. I have a Gd that is.

    The YJ nest:
    67322476e906c9a72a5aef92d021ed88.jpg

I was all geared up when I opened that door - bee hat, heavy rain jacket, heavy winter shell pants, gloves, taped the gloves to jacket and pants to boots. Hot as all get out, but worthwhile - beaucoup ticked YJ, but 0 stings [emoji3]

I'll head back to camp at dark to give it another dose of insecticide foam and knock it off the door. Tomorrow night I'll probably put one of those hot shot slow release insecticide strips in the shed.

    That’s a sizable nest.

Sprayed it right at nightfall, knocked out off the door with a 10' piece of pvc I had around.

I'll check sometime tomorrow, probably early evening. Hang up a hot shot strip and close the doors.
Did you notice any flying around?

It was pretty dark, I had the bee hat on, and I strolled away once I knocked the nest down, so no idea. I expect they'll all be dead or scattered tomorrow morning, and the Hot Shot will keep them from rebuilding in the shed.

That will be a good thing. I got multiple bee stings once years ago but it was from those ground bees.

That's a big nest! Glad you geared up hazmat style to tackle it, Mark!!

My debit card got hacked Saturday and wiped out my checking account. Fortunately I have my bank alerts set to send me a message any time there is a withdrawal from my account, so I knew when it happened. Called to cancel the card, but had to wait until regular banking hours to file the fraud report and get a new card. Annoying to have to deal with, but walked out of my Credit Union with a new card instead of having to wait for 2 weeks to get it in the mail. The money will be restored as soon as the fraud report is reviewed, hopefully by tomorrow.

The Yellow Jackets here nest in the ground....Not rare to see them but not common either...Last year they got Cuzzo at the lake house....I laughed....The next day I got on a nest here and got that instant karma....Pretty sure I'd hang multiple Hot Shots in the shed....I keep a couple in my little compressor room....Last week I spidey sprayed 2 Black Widows in there so not sure how good they work....That Spidey Spray works good though.....

The kitchen is near complete....Cuzzo mis-measured the crown molding after I told him to be dang sure we had enough....I painted crown with the doors and had to paint one piece with the drawers....Good news is the doors and drawers are back where they should be...Hit the beach house yesterday and cut the grass that was knee high....I suspect any day to get a threatening letter from the city as they had cut the ditches....I cut them also even though that's on them....Sprayed everything with round up as well....Bro in law got internet at the beach and I watched Netflix last night....wanted to see White Boy Rick but that wasn't available so I settled on Motley Crue's The Dirt....It was OK....but just OK....Got back today and got the remaining crown molding installed....Now I gotta putty the nail holes/caulk and add a finish coat of paint to the crown....Touch up the ceiling where I missed when rolling the walls and it's done...My potential boat customer has hurried me twice but he's not hurrying me....Sheesh....Trust me I'm gonna shift right into getting that boat fired as my current stack of Benjamins needs company....I get that boat sold it's on to my little aluminum boat and hopefully sell it as well...Plans are to upgrade to a nicer and more powerful aluminum boat....My current boat is a 16 foot all welded with a 50 for horsepower...No slouch at all....I'm eyeballing a 17 foot with a 70 HP that's also a 4 stroke....My 50 is a 2 stroke....If things don't fall in my favor I'll just fix up the boat I've got now...Trust any more big projects come my way will be greeted by a sideways stare....There's enough around here just to keep the wheels turning.....
