A fun day...
DW was staying home with Sidney and or other pooches while I headed out to camp to take care of some outside chores.
Lawn tractor wouldn't start - I thought it ran out of gas when I last used it, brought a fresh can out, but it was dead - not even a click.
The battery is new, from last year, but just in case I went to the shed to pull out the trickle charger.
I took the lock off and barely opened the shed door when a big swarm of tiny yellow jackets flew out. Much stinging action ensued - both cheeks (thankfully I had wraparound sunglasses on), arms, multiple in the ankles, and a couple got inside my shirt (always fun).
Of course I keep a can of wasp and yj spray at camp - in the shed [emoji16]
I had to go back to close the door, used a 10' board to get it to shut and stay closed. Only 2 more stings... (At least 20 of them were on the outside of one of the floors, guard duty, and they're able to fly
through the gaps between boards in the doors)
Tail between my legs I slunk home, nice shower and a couple of Benadryl.
Long range insecticide spray should be here Tuesday via Amazon, and next trip to camp I'll have my multimeter to trace the tractor problem.
