No need to apologize :) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I'm not trying to tell any one how they should vape! There is no rite or wrong way to vape, what ever works for you is good enough :)
I'm just against the 50 mg that is too readily available to kids, who have never smoked before! I have a 17 year old in High School & way more kids are vaping than I would have ever imagined, most of them using the juul :( Around here every gas station & corner store sells it, just like cigarettes :(

My husband smoked for 40 years and now uses 50mg nicotine salts in a pod, not Juul, but a pod nonetheless. It best replicates smoking for him.. and is working to keep him from smoking.

If you think your local gas station is selling vaping devices to underage children why don't you do a sting with your own child and find out..

And if they are, speak to the store manager about it... I'm sure he'd rather know from you than the FDA..

Because if they are selling vape devices and pods to underage children, they are selling cigarettes and alcohol too, and those are deadly...

No, I get it. HS years are tough. My kids are older but my youngest...though he's okay now, I'm convinced he'll never be what he could've been before "spice." It was awful.

But the amount of nic in Juul isn't the problem. The fact that "every gas station & corner store sells it" is exactly what made it work for my other family members work, though. I implore you though - don't just say "it's too much nic." Who do you want to decide what's enough? You? Me? Popular vote? Legislators? FDA? If you go down that road, someone has to decide. And there's more than nic content that will be decided.

My point is 50mg of nic in a juul pod is too high.
Not if you want to reproduce the nicotine "hit" from a full-strength combustible cigarette, it isn't.

even a hard core life long smoker doesn't need that much nic to quit!
More smokers have quit "cold turkey" than using any other method, so by that logic, no nicotine is required at all.

When I stared vaping 5 years ago 18 to 24 mg was the highest end of the spectrum in nic content.
Are you forgetting about the cigalikes that were around then that used 48? One reason they didn't take off is that they were harsh and nasty, a problem that Juul fixed by introducing salts.

Yep. There's a whole continent where people's betters have already made those decisions for them, where you can no longer buy liquid stronger that 20 mg/ml, or in bottles bigger than 10ml, and devices aren't supposed to hold more than 2ml of liquid.

..or in bottles bigger than 10ml..
And that is (IMO anyway) one of the stupidest decisions ever made. "We don't have enough plastic trash on this planet. We need more." Plenty of bigwigs like the idea though. I'll stop ranting now. I want to keep my fingers on my hands instead of typing them off..

I wonder what Truth Initiative has to say about it. Ya gotta think about saving the worms too you know..
3 ways JUUL could harm the environment

I couldn't find the recent post that has that video in it, so this is now sort of a double post.

I think as vapers we do need to do something about countering the teachings..

I know exactly what it will take. Vape device and juice manufacturers to file lawsuits against people making blatantly false claims in a "Malicious Intent to harm a business" suit. It won't take many before people start verifying facts before spewing off at the mouth. As individuals I don't see much we can do.

All thou kids vaping insteed of smoking is a good thing! The nic content in the Juul pods is out of line! I smoked my whole life & started vaping @ 18 mg. Subjecting teenagers to 50mg nic strength is not rite, even for some ex smoker trying to Quit! It's too high!

I am not saying I disagree with you, but I do understand why JUUL is that high and that it COULD end up being a good thing. JUUL didn't arrive at that level by accident or some sheer random choice. They had people smoke then measured their blood nic level over time then formulated their product to be as close to the same as possible. This supposedly makes it easier to switch from smoking to JUULing. Also there is an assumption that with the nic content that high a person needs to take fewer puffs to satisfy a craving. Thus, if one assumes that inhaling PG, VG, Flavors, and vaping byproducts is even slightly harmful then taking fewer puffs with tiny clouds from a JUUL should, in theory, be safer than taking more puffs off of a lower nic, bigger cloud device.

I'm trying to figure out if it was ALL propaganda, or if like, I am just subject to more elderly propaganda so I'm more horrified by the new stuff.

I try to just not think about it too much, but like, JEEZ. I must have learned something because I was busy working as a gene sequencer at 22 PREGNANT all surrounded by like, MUTAGENS in a hazmat suit WHILE not smoking cigarettes or anything else.

I was Totally Calm and worked until the moment my water broke and like, did the smart thing and quit and cleaned houses for five years while I got my masters and he never went to daycare EVER.

I made all those choices, and they worked out fine.

Today's recent grads, some of them, like... today we had two new visitors from FREAKING YALE'S NURSING department. They were like, fast friends. And I was like, "Are you planning to occupy the same POSTITION split?" They had all the same mannerisms and like I mentioned to one that I liked the company because the HR department did something dumb and instead of being all passive aggressive they listened to my complaint and FIXED IT.

So like.... Then the one was like, "Oh gosh, that would be SO IMPORTANT this would be my first real JOB I have no idea about benefits...."

I wanted to be like, "ARE YOU HIGH? YOU WENT TO YALE KNOW ABOUT BENEFITS OMG DO YOU VOTEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Some new kids, they look like they are going to crack if you look at them funny. Like, literally splinter down the middle.

    It's sobering.

In school we had subjects like woodshop, auto repair, cooking, balancing a checkbook, reading the electric meter, etc and they were beneficial things. Just don't see practical subjects anymore. Well, I don't see the results of it anyway.

Some say the world changes, I say it changes because people are afraid of what the world is...as it is.
