Like Greg, I discovered PV's by trying one at the QuantumCig kiosk at Discover Mills. My sixth sense told me their prices were way out of line. When the salesman told me not to trust anyone on the internet, he just confirmed for me what I was thinking.

Started with a 901 from E-smokeytreats on 2/15/09. Cut down from about 30 analogs a day to eight, right away. Was able to quit completely on 4/4/09 once I got my Screwdriver. I also tried an 801, 401, 4082, 808, passthroughs and 510.

Now all I use is the 5v Prodigy which I feel is in the top 5 of all PV's made. Once my Prodigy V2 arrives I will sell the SD, 901's and passthroughs and be done buying PV's with the exception of one. I use the BE112 atomizer from Best Ecig.

I vape KENT (smoothest tobacco flavor I have tried) during the day and RY4 during the evening and occassionally coke flavor, all from Wayne at Heaven's Gifts. I stick with 24mg but plan to start reducing the nicotine level this year.

I have a years+ supply of atomizers and juice but feel confident that I will be able to get supplies regardless of what the FDA does. But I figure it will get more expensive so stocking up has probably saved some money.

Nice to meet you all.

6v mod w/510 atomizer,,,DSE905 w/901 or 510 atomizer,,,

Gotta a question? Do you guys vape as much as I do? Now that I've quit smoking, it seems I'm vaping all the time, especially at home. I'm running around 18mg, hasn't seem to really affect me like some other people on the forum. Every now and then I get the hicups, that's about it.

I get the hiccups when I accidently get juice in my mouth..Goes away with a drink of water.

I started vaping around the end of Oct09 and quit analogs on 11/8/09 after having smoked 2+ packs a day for the better part of 35 years.

I purchase only attys now as I build my own mods, but my 1st PVs were the 510, M201, and 801 (801 batt w/302 atty). I should soon receive my 901 attys from Heaven's Gifts (wanted to try the 901 at 6V).

What I'd like to see come from this sub-forum (if we can get the membership going) is perhaps a meetup somewhere? I was reading about one in the northeast where they had a get-together and had some of the vendors attend. Sounded pretty cool to me.

HEYYYYYY, wait a second here.....You're from 'Bama? You tryin to sneek into the Peach State? :D

FYI, all the bars and sports bars within the city limits of Lawrenceville allow smoking as the city has it's own laws that supercede county/state laws. A consideration when it comes to meeting.

Right? I bartended in Buford for a while....smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette.

That's cool, some of us are pretty close, if we need something in a pinch.

Hello all. Thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm new to vaping. Got my first kit on 12/30 and have only had two analogs since, and those were only because all my batteries were dead. Not bad considering I was about a pack a day smoker just last week and had been since I was twelve, sometimes reaching 2 1/2 packs a day.

In true geek fashion, I've emersed myself in vaping since I discovered it was actually going to work for me (I didn't have high hopes when I placed my first order). It's hard to overstate how glad I am to have found vaping and these forums. The information and reviews posted by members have helped me to decide where to go next with vaping, where to shop, how to mod, and all sorts of things. By next week I should be able to retire the overpriced (Green Smoke) and sub-par (blu) kits that I ordered when I was less informed about vaping for a 510 setup. I'll probably be trying high voltage mods when I am a bit more seasoned, and I've ordered most of the supplies I need to mix my own juice.

I'm in Cherokee County, about a 45 minute drive from Gainesville, Lawrenceville, and downtown ATL. I live on a small horse farm. We have two and a half horses (two big draft crosses and a small pony), two farm cats, and two six-month-old puppies (a yellow lab and the german shepard shown in my avatar). I mention this because I noticed that a lot of posters have their pets as their avatars, and being able to enjoy my critters more (through having more energy to devote to them) played a role in my decision to quit analogs.

Well, I think I've babbled on long enough. Happy vaping!!

For those of you who are new to vaping, I thought I would provide a list of suppliers that I have learned through experience are reputable. I know there are many others that would fit in this category, but these are the ones I have more experience with. I am almost at the one year mark and have used quite a few suppliers. Although I know everyone is different, I have used or tried about 10 different PV's. From my experience, unless you were a very light smoker (15 or less a day), the manual battery PV's, in general, are more consistent and less problematic. Here is the list of suppliers:

PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!

Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier

Atomizers - Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes!

www.eastmall.net - Eastmall International Co.,Ltd

e-Smokey Treats - Electronic Cigarette's, The healthy alternative to traditional tobacco cigarette's

mini e cigarette BE901/DSE901 series

If anyone has tried this new HALO e-liquid, I would be interested in a review in comparison to other juice, such as DeKang.

I started in June '09 with a 901: I ordered 3 batteries and 4 atomizers from one supplier and flavorless juice from another. I used Lorann flavorings in the juice and some VG for more vapor. I liked the 901 but the batteries started leaking after a couple of weeks and the cartridge was so small that I had to top off too often. Three months later I lost an assembled 901 in my car (watched it fall between the seats but can't find it 8-o), and the other 2 batteries started dying so I did some research and decided to switch to the Vapor4Life Vapor King (modified KR808D-1). I only ordered 1 VK battery and a PCC just to try it out but got a mis-threaded battery - they sent me a replacement but my last two 901 batteries died during the wait and I broke down and bought a carton of cigs :(. Fortunately, I loved the V4L VK and I now have 2 passthroughs (one auto and one manual) and a manual battery and am now back to being analog free. I use the V4L cartos, refilling with V4L juice to keep costs down, and I also use my remaining three 901 atomizers on the VK. I still add VG to my juice and sometimes flavorings as well for a change of pace. I'm a 36mg only vaper but with the threat to supplies I'm going to have to make myself get used to a lower nic level so that I can start cutting my juice with VG and stretch it out. Well, that's the short version of my story. Glad to read everyone else's too.

Here and back
Same as some others, Discover Mall, saw kisok, got me to thinking. That was about a year ago. Did some research. My friend said we HAD to stop smoking in 2010 so I did more research, found this site, ordered 510 and 808. Couldn't be happier. She did quit cold turkey.

Now I've gone and ordered the Prodigy V2 (shipped). I guess I'm hooked. I've turned one person on to e cigs so far, hope to do more.

My problem is that I know I'm making MANY mistakes (filling etc.) and I have no one to show me anything. I've made all the mistakes but getting better.
