It hasn't been that long since my last update. But I'm already due for another!

The day my eGo arrived, my boyfriend and I sat down and had a nice chat. We live together, so the issue of either of us smoking or not smoking affects both of us pretty equally. He volunteered to give up smoking in the house (in the one room it is allowed). I was floored by that alone. Then we checked the mail.

My eGo came with a 5-pack of atties and a fresh cone. I cleaned an atty and fired it up. I haven't had a smoke at all since then. He tried it as soon as I got it rolling and was so intrigued, he ordered his own that night!! Unfortunately, this was right before Easter, so it might not get here until Thursday. I spent Thursday and Friday trading off the eGo with him, and for the first time, I started to see him put out cigarettes before they were completely gone.

Saturday I rummaged through my stuff and found a spare Riva battery. I kept looking until I found the charger. I'm still missing a Riva battery and the cone, but so far it's working for him. And I even gave him my cone. Saturday he had 3 smokes. Sunday he had one. Yesterday he had one.

Considering the amount of juice I still had, we even found him a flavor he likes!! He went through the 3ml sample pretty quickly, so I ordered him a 30ml bottle of Wyatt Earp 24mg. That should get here at the same time as his eGo. I also picked up a box of cartos with his juice order. I have a small box of pre-mixed flavors, and a bigger box with lots of DIY supplies. I'm not afraid of running out of juice, for myself anyway.

He calculated what he spent on cigarettes in 30 days. I think he will start to see the cost savings immediately. And even though his initial purchase on hardware was $50, that included a 5pack of LR atties. He most likely won't be making any more big purchases like that. Definitely not for the rest of the month. And the setup is generally the most expensive, the biggest deterrent. The big thing for him now is juice. He might not like the Wyatt Earp in a month. We just have to keep on it to make sure he's still happy.

Next we decide if he prefers atties or cartos! I found 2 old unused cartos (mistakenly ordered the ones without the softcap ages ago) and showed him the premise. I let him know that nicer ones (Boge) were on the way and he might really like them. He loves the idea of not having to drip all the time. I never had any luck with tanks or CE2s. I had great luck with Clearo Dual Coils, but they look too much like drug paraphernalia. I think I had decent luck with normal Dual coils.. but one thing at a time!

He's excited. Hell, I'm excited!! Not only is he not smoking, he's already feeling the benefits. Yesterday, he did start getting the flu-like symptoms, but I described to him what him body is going through right now and it made sense to him. He already feels better today. He's already getting his sense of smell back. So many good things.. He's in a positive mood. He's even told his mom!

Anyway, that's it for me. I've been wanting to write a post like this since he ordered his own!!

Thank you everyone! It's a huge step, especially for him. He's been smoking for 17 years. I smoked for 8, and my relapse was a very weak and irregular 2 months. He's probably going to go through some things that I never had to deal with. And while I am a great source of information, I might have to make up some of it as I go along. He did make a comment about how getting set up is trial and error - and wondered what I went through to find the good stuff. I mentioned ECF and cited much patience.

I'm already back to USPS tracking stalking.. And wondering why packages need to go through 2 sort facilities... one in the city I live in!! I'm frustrated for him. I guess I forgot to mention that the Riva I found amongst my things is bubblegum pink... :)

I'm doing the happy dance in my head now!! I'm so thrilled he enjoys it enough to stop smoking. And I never thought it would happen this quickly. He never went an entire 8-hour shift without a cigarette.. until yesterday!! :D So proud!

Great news! A few twists of sandpaper and that Riva can be brushed stainless, same for the cone if you find it. That's what I do with eGos that get scratched up in my wife's purse. A flexible sanding pad works best.

Little did he know when you met what was in store for him - an inadvertent conversion! Dating a vaper has it's benefits - imagine him watching you chew gum or use a patch and wanting to try it out 'cause it looked fun! Smokers who get in relationships with vapers may breathe easier, live longer and smell better - advantage single vapers!
