Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!

Figured it was about time Nude Nicotine held its first ECF contest. We wanted it to differ from the norm, and specifically wanted to use this opportunity to promote proper safety and chemistry within our eliquid formulations. I was speaking with my colleagues last evening and we were all VERY interested in seeing what our fellow ECF'ers' 'eliquid laboratories' looked like - what laboratory equipment the average DIY user was using to formulate his or her eliquids, and what safety equipment they have/wear.

We at Nude Nicotine are proponents of personal protective equipment (PPE) as it is used in any standard laboratory for use in eliquid formulations. We are dealing with the nicotine alkaloid, which can be an irritant for some at lower concentrations, but toxic at higher concentrations as well. It is a necessary precaution to, at the minimum, protect yourself with long sleeves, safety gloves, long pants, and protective eyewear.

We've assembled this Nude Nicotine-approved chemistry kit for our lucky winner of this Labor Day contest, which will run until the end of Tuesday (9/3) at 11:59PM (We wanted to give you an extra day since we are releasing this on Saturday morning). At which time we choose a winner at random based on post number.

Take this opportunity to post a picture of youw own 'eLiquid laboratory' and show us what equipment you are using to make your formulations! Show us any PPE you're using as well!

Please one 'entry' per person, and only posts with images included will be included in our drawing. The winner will receive the following items, we believe to be all-inclusive of a basic chemistry kit for use in eliquid formulations. Only things missing are PG, VG, concentrated nicotine base, and flavorings!:

-10 sterile diaper pads
-3 disposable lab coats
-Nitrile gloves
-Glasses
-x10 10mL syringes
-x5 50mL conicals
-10mL, 25mL, 50mL, and 100mL robust Kimble glass graduated cylinders
(sorry we couldn't include any pants here :p)

We look forward to seeing what you all are using! We are here to promote safety in all forms when handling concentrated nicotine, but more importantly, are here to help each and every one of you in your own individual eliquid formulations. Please don't hesitate to contact us directly with any questions you may have. Transparency is our middle name :)

Best regards from sunny San Diego,
Jake

How can it be a "chemistry kit" if there are no chemicals involved?? :D

More like an 'accessories' kit, IMHO...

the 'chemistries' are yours to obtain (and of course we carry everything you need sans PG and VG), but we hope these items will aid you in your home 'chemistry' :)

I noticed that you don't have the 100% VG option in 36mg/120ml... Why is that?

Thanks!!

Good question! That is actually on my list to add to the website this weekend. Unlike our flavored eliquids, we will release 100% PG and VG options for our nicotine base. Thanks for asking! I'll be sure to link you when they are up :)

You can see my juice lab below

You don't see anything because I haven't started DIY juice yet, but someday I will.
If I win I'll post a pic of my new lab.

Creative entry # 1 :)

I am new enough at this that flavors are all beginning to taste like crap and I was thinking that DIY is probably the way to go. So I don't have pictures of anything but love the idea of doing it the right way. I think my next purchase will be a kit like this. Maybe in a week or two but if you would like to consider this an entry, so be it. thank you for listening to my rant. Have a great day!

Thanks for the contest

I really like your idea of jewelry/hardware separators for small juice bottles! Very nice in case one leaks and won't contaminate your stock :) And glad to see you've got a serological pipette at your disposal! Even if it a good ol' manual rollie :D We use multiple battery operated ones in the lab for handling various non-viscous liquids and we love them!

You're off to a great start sir!

I wonder if I should do this with PPE?

Creative Entry #2!

Was just catching up on the newest Breaking Bad episodes and I'm sad Jesse is too somber to be in this kind of mood :)

Back on track - these lab coats aren't full hazmat jumpsuits like they used in the show. Rather I prefeered to purchase something for everyone that you wouldn't sweat all your fluids out in

That is not a mess at all! Cheers on setting up a dedicated space to do your formulations! Really happy to see people like yourself have a dedicated area they car keep clean to prepare their liquids in. And everything seems to have its place as well :)

The doggie pee-pads are a great idea! The laboratory equivalents are not far off from their design; they are just required to be sterilized before use.

I can see a nice spot on the top shelf of your side-cart to house those graduated cyliders!
