Its all about the imperial politics of NYC. The rest of us NY'ers are just subjects of the Kings and Queens. NY's 57 counties are held hostage by just 10 counties surrounding NYC that out-populate the rest of the state. Thus, they control the legislature, what comes up for votes, and when, and how. Tyranny of the majority. An electoral college voting system would even the score, but fat chance of that ever being brought up to a referendum. I would be a dancing fool if NYC became a District like DC and separate from the rest of the state. They can keep their selfish, idiotic, looney, far, far, far left policies down there. As long as its easier to take it from others, rather than addressing their problems directly, nothing will ever change. Contacting my rep will do nothing but preach to the choir. If they see that they can't get what they want, they would just do it behind closed doors, overnight, while you are sleeping (ie Unsafe Act, I woke up a criminal one morning and I didn't do anything). When they need money they just extort a particular group(s) of citizens to cover their inept ability to manage money and affairs. Upstate NY has no use for that boat anchor of a city whatsoever.

Does anyone know who in particular to call and what the number is???

Here's who you call:
Senate Co-President Dean Skelos (R) - (518) 455-3171
Senate Co-President Jeffrey Klein (IDC) - (518) 455-3595
Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (D) - (518) 455-3791
Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Morelle (D) - (518) 455-5373

Also, find out who your local rep is. Call them too.

When you call, ask whoever answers the phone to please give a message to the senator or rep:

Tell him/her that you oppose any bills that would ban e-liquid sales to adults in NY. You also oppose taxing of e-liquid and restrictions on vaping in public. You can offer info on how vaping has helped you to quit smoking ect.

If you can, have your vaping buddies call as well.

Also any of your non smoking/vaping family or friends who have watched your health improve, it lets them know they aren't just dealing with the vaping voters but also the ones who love them when it comes time to vote.
