So you are saying the small o ring is for the bottle?
Yes. Did you buy it new? It should have come with the o-ring already in the cap. Like FB said above if you over tighten it will cause a kink in the o-ring and suck air. Just barely snug it up to the ring.

Dang! FB and his ninja super fast typing!

There is an o ring in the bottle. I bought extra O rings when I bought it. There is a large one which is the same one I put under the rm2 and then there is a smaller or narrower one. I am thinking the o ring in the bottle might be bad or deformed and wanting to replace it. So is it the smaller o ring or the larger o ring?

Can you post a quick pic of the bottle\cap\o-rings?

This problem is all too familiar to me. Tho the snap cap is a good solution there is a manufacture of a different bottle and cap which seats a better O-ring which has stop all issues I have had. My juice would raise havoc to the original caps of my REOs which needed replacing sometimes every 2-3 weeks.

You really tell from this picture the difference from the old used caps which the o-rings failed to stay seated in the original cap to the new ones behind but the ledge in which the ring sits on is wider and makes for a more secure spot for the ring. FYI I have toned down my cinnamon juice to a more human consumption.

... just trying to add clarity (hopefully not murking it up in the process!)... but, the o-ring for the bottle cap fits inside the cap and threading, making a seal on the top of the bottle when its screwed on. ... I add this because it almost sounds like you are trying to fit an o-ring around the bottle so it seals against the bottom of the cap - I could be reading this wrong, but I think that's where some of the responses are coming from making the replies back and forth with more questions to help us both on each side?....

Sorry if I confused anyone and maybe I was confused about the OP. I was talking about the O-ring that fits and sits in the cap which allows no air to slip thru in order so when the bottle is squeezed the juice will flow thru the tube into the atty. With out it or properly seated it won't happen.

This made me laugh. Thanks. Im not that bad yet.

Robert, Are the o rings in the bottle the same that come with the rm2? I bought the REO and RM2 new at the same time and the o rings were in the package with everything else so I thought the larger o rings fit the bottles (inside the cap).

The bottle cap o ring is not the same as either the o ring that comes with the RM2 or the optional 1x10 or 1.5x10 mm o rings on Rob's site. Pull your current bottle cap o ring out and re seat it.

Take the cap off and throw it away. Take the o-ring and save it for putting under an atomizer at some point. Run an 11/64 drill bit through the bottle nozzle. Put it on the tube, fill bottle and snap on the cap. It's the bottle mod and I do it to all of my Reos out of the box. That o-ring is the Reo's Achilles heel and this solves the issue permanently. No more over-tightening the cap. No more swelling of the ring because of using citrus oil juices. No more sucking air. It just makes the Reo system work better all the way around. Will take a pic here in a second.
