I do not think oak is good for vaping (coils may go bad?), but anyway it looks like a waste of money – this small oak bottle. It is almost single use thing (OK, maybe 2-3 times use). Oak chips are much cheaper and much more productive (you’ll have more surface contact with chips than with bottle).
Yeah, the first vendor to do this -- as far as I know -- was HouseofLiquid with their tobaccos. They did it awhile ago (at least before 5Pawns had even come out) and I can attest to the same liquid being steeped in an oak barrel tasting somewhat better than the other (and supposedly they are the same liquids). But, is it something that is really worth investigating for a DIYer? I wouldn't go that far and for the most part, I do think it is much more of a marketing tactic than a secret weapon for flavor development.
