OBS Engine II

Hi all

Recently purchased the OBS Engine II based on favorable reviews on Youtube. I was very keen to build it but to my dissapointment have found the flavor to be very muted and when I do get a touch of flavour it is between 80 and 100W which I find too hot. I can't understand this as I have tried it with different builds like clapton, fused clapton and half staggered fused. Has anyone any recommendations for a good flavorful build?

What resistance are your builds typically coming on at to need 90W? Any photos of the build themselves? The coil placement in relation to the airflow is really key (true in all RTAs) and the weird mounting of the coils could result in problems having it in the right location. I pull my coils down and out to sit right over the airflow very close, maybe a mm from touching the deck. If they're high and/or sitting in closer to the posts you might not be getting good airflow from under the coils. Pics could really help if you can get any.

I place my coils same as Eskie, pulled down and out and cradled into the af close. 2.5 or 3mm works best imo. Tried 3.5mm coil and it worked but greatly reduced the af.

Maybe you are using too much cotton try 3mm coils and trim them to the white oring of the base
