Just my opinion but that atty was not made to use those kind of coils. Those big coils are really more for cloud chasing. You might want to consider getting an RDA.

It actually works best at around 40W, so.. nothing fancy, it's the same thing I use in my Serpent RDTA at 30-40W tops and I have no issues on it

I'm not sure why it would give me dry hits, wicking holes are about the same size as the Serpent RDTA, same coil, same wick... I'd even say that the wick is much longer on the Serpent thus the juice would have to travel longer to get up to the coil and in theory would take much longer to seep in the juice, so I'm not sure at this point :)

Probably the difference in chimney. Most rdta's don't really have a true chimney. AF makes a difference as well.

The chimney on the Serpent RDTA is much bigger (since it's basically the top cap) than the one on the Engine Nano. As far as the AF goes, I leave it full open on both, you can literally breathe to them both even though the one on the Serpent is perhaps a little more restricted, there isn't much difference. That still wouldn't explain the dry hits... this comes down to the wicking :)

It just about always comes down to wicking or coil placement. IMO

Yep, that's what I'm saying but it's tricky on this one even though it doesn't look like it.. I can vape it TC no problem, cause in TC, if there's not enough juice it will stop heating the coil, but that's not what i'm after :)

Think im starting to get a hang of it.
Still experimentating with cotton, but been using 28ga clapton 0.7ohm.
The build i had before the one i use now was very nice, the latest has just a tad weaker flavor. Also make "shoulders" as someone here recomended, it seems it makes flavor better. So, tnx for that tip. Ordered one more engine to have as backup.

Just over two months vaping my OBS engines. Got a box of Vapor Tech prebuilt Kanthal coils (26/28/30 ga.) with eight different coil types (48 total) and a package of Cotton Bacon. Watched a number of YouTube clips on installing coils and wicking techniques. Running the OBS on a Lost Vape Paranormal DNA75 and a Smok Alien 220 between 30W and 45W with a 70% VG at 3 mg. Trimmed wick so it angles towards tip and just enters air holes. Only leak experienced was when I forgot to close OBS band after filling. Never had a dry hit. Looking for suggestions on SS coils.

I order my ss 316l from Advanced Vape Supply, AVS. Been using them about a year now. Great pre built coils and wire. My personal favorite are their tri core fused clapton coils. All I use in Nanos anymore. If your not using tc don't order the ss 430 coils or wire. They do have sample packs available. If you have any questions message them on site and they'll respond, fantastic customer service.

What type of coils are those, round wire coils?
