Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I have trouble telling how much liquid I'm putting in so I think laying it on its side would be worse for me. I'll stick with the angle for now.

Interesting how people are getting better flavor with 2mm coils. I watched a review today and the reviewer claimed you need 3mm or 3.5mm coils to get the best flavor. I'm using a 3mm coil and it's pretty good but I might try a 2 mm coil tomorrow.

Coil-size ID generally should be optimally optimized for airflow and chamber-size. The main airflow of this atty is pretty big, hence bigger coils do make sense. Smaller ID coils heat up faster(since less cooled by liquid/wick), hence produce more vaper faster, which also can give better taste. Bigger ID coils only wick better if sufficient wicking-flow and if not it will wick worse, because there's more cotton that needs getting wet. Not that the flow of this atty is bad though. quite the oposite...

Currently, this engine-nano is the only thing I run, and is still testing for best build, I now have a 2.5mm ID SS316L 8 wrap 26g spaced in TC mode, which isn't to bad either at 25'ish watts and 260C(max-vg)...

I fill it lying down and slowly to not add air in, with a 100ml squeeze plastic bottle of my DIY unflavored 3mg VG with 10% DW, as hate the taste of PG unflavored(bitter sweet ethanol).

I like watching reviews to see the product up close before I buy, but as far as coils and wicks its trial and error for me. I have to vape it, with my juice, my wattage, not them. You get better info from people that use the product every day here also. But it is nice to get their opinions.

I just rolled up a little bit of cotton and used tweezers to stick in the air hole, got juiced up, but not causing any problems though, I'd probably switch it out every time I rewick.

I like the idea of closing it off and then building the coil out away from the posts as close to the other air hole as I can.

I still haven't found my happy place with this tank yet. Tried a Scottish roll wicking this time and it's a fail. Can't go above 14 watts without getting a burnt hit. Just doesn't seem to wick fast enough.

    Back to tinkering.

Im new with RTAs as I said many times. But honestly, I cant understand some having wicking issues. This thing wicks like a ....!! Either im lucky as all get out, or somethings up...different coil holes, maybe smaller wick channels? I dont know. What I do know is I can wick this thing in my sleep and have no issues.

What's your build specs wicking material and what power are you running it at?

I could be lucky but I got it on my first try with cotton and it was sloppy as hell. One side of the wick was thinner than the other and I just kinda crammed it in there. I'm using Japanese organic cotton, a 3mm stainless steel coil, and I'm vaping at 30 watts. Nice and warm with good flavor.

Got my Nanos, cleaned up the black one, popped the enclosed 4mm Clapton (I think) coil in it w/ rayon, assembled it, and put it on top of a black Tesla Nano 60w. Then it dawns on me... What metal is the enclosed coil made of? I have it set to 38w w/ the airflow about 3/4 closed. Flavor's not really there yet, but the clouds are huge. It's reading .015 ohms. Mod only does Ni/Ti TC, variable wattage, and mechanical modes. Think I'd better put it down until I know what setting I need to be on! SMH

    Anyone know?
Not sure what material the coil is but it's not titanium or nickel. Probably kanthal, possibly ss. Vw will be fine.

Can anyone recommend a dual battery 100 watt mod that the Engine Nano will fit nicely on? Right now I'm using an Eleaf Ipower 80 watt mod with a 5000mah internal battery.

Looks kinda big. I've never used a mod with external batteries before. I'd like to get something that has comparable battery life to the Eleaf Ipower 80. I only have to charge it every three days or so vaping around 30 watts.
There's no way you'll be getting the same battery life if you'll vape at 100w.

Or on Vaporcube.com the Hohmtech 26650 Slice mod. It does 101 watt. Temperature Control really works well compared to all my other mods. Use code "slice" should cost about $30 after the discount. If you vape under 40 watts you can get an adaptor & use 1 18650 battery. There's a thread on ................. about them.
101w with a single 26650, not within the cdr (even with the Ijoy 26650). In fact, 18650s are better, and even the best of those don't have the cdr for 90+ watts.

Today got my nano. Rewicked it like 5 times and changed few coils. Dont know why, but when my cotton touches bottom i get dry hits, when i make it short just to go in the holes and not touching bottom it vapes fine. So maybe there is a difference, because most reviewies i watched said to make cotton not touching the bottom. Btw, 2.5mm has better taste then 3-3.5mm. But flavor i think will never be as good as in ammit, but still i like nano better.

I thinks it's unlikely that reviewers test very many different coil configurations in the atties they use. Not at all uncommon that they get things wrong, even on very basic things.
