That was partially the reason for asking - some things simply won`t work for MTL regardless of how closed they are.
Even if they aren`t leaking air in (literally) at the seams, they just "feel" overly loose....like trying to suck a pea through a road tunnel.
Then there`s the whistling that some make when closed off
I go for a relaxed MTL, so sounds like the airflow should be OK.

Yes. I tried the Nano mtl, or else I wouldn't write about it. And I was more than underwhelmed.
But tastes differ, and if it's your cup of tea, why not?

You posted "even if you close the airflow, it still is a really airy draw, because of the large chamber"... This is not true at all with this tank. It can be closed almost 100%...

It is airy, compared to most mtl-tanks and the Kayfun for example gives me a much denser and more tasteful vape.
It's not only the ability to close off the airflow itself, that gives me a satisfying mtl-vape. I can do that on any tank. But the shape and dimensions of the chamber, diameter of the chimney, the driptip and so on, all of that matters as well.
So, you like the mtl of the Nano, I don't.

It's not a matter of like or dislike...
It's just that you said it was too airy and it's not...
You said it was not a good MTL tank and it is...
It has a tighter draw when closed than any Kayfun also.

I use wattage mostly but I play with TC sometimes. I just can't figure out the whole TC thing. I use Kanthal and SS wires and depending on size, I vape at 10-20 watts. I also only use 100% PG liquids and vape for flavor only with tobacco flavors...
Is that one of those beautiful mods that cost over $200???
FWIW, I have the carbon/gunmetal G and it only does rudimentary TC, since it uses a TCR value instead of a TFR range it's doing tc the same way a $30 evic does & it's not super accurate or reliable in all situations like my dna's, but I bought it fully knowing that. It is a really nice mod though and I do hope yihi add TFR in the future.
In fact, the evic I got to experiment with AF custom firmware actually does tc better than my sx550. (as long as I'm using TFR ranges)
With yihi, you're more paying for the build quality than anything else, which is really nice, but like all yihi mods be careful of the paint.

yes it is, but in my opinion so worth it
Some people have more of a tolerance for closing off an AF ring and dealing with that crushing throat hit, I don't, all I get is unpleasantness and it kills my throat.
Unless there is some kind of insert, or reducer, whatever you want to call it... for correcting the velocity of the air hitting the coil, I don't even bother, just have to leave it fully open, or only adjust it within the size of the inlet itself.
But imo you can't have true AFC with a fixed inlet... I wish more stuff like the Aromamizer, which has an AFC ring that actually works, bc it sits right in front of the coil.

Isn't that a bit contradicting, say good build quality, but the paint is not durable, I like the looks of the sx's, but don't expect paint problems for a $200 mod, I scored a sx mini for $50, and functions good, but paint looks worn and I am gentle on mods, so sure wouldn't impressed if paid $200, like when it 1st came out.
