I still have not tried Rayon on mine. Next wick change...
Definitely worth a try. For me I was lucky to find rayon early -- it turns out that my natural wicking approach is too tight for cotton but perfect for rayon.

I'll generally pulse a new wick, wetted, for about 10 seconds total when I install it, rewetting as I go. That gets rid of the initial slightly funky taste which rayon (at least cellucotton) does have. After that It's absolutely super [emoji106]

@stoprealones
$21.67 at fasttech
$21.99 at 3FVape
$22.23 at GearBest
All others are higher in the US

I just purchased obs tank, premade coils at .5 and 1.0 ohm, cotton, and smok 350 box mod and fine tweezers from 3fvape.
Im a bit nervous but I think this is the best way to go.
Thank you everyone for your support.

You can`t buy full prebuilt heads, but you can buy pre-rolled coils until you get comfortable/consistent in rolling your own. Things like: FastTech - Gadgets and Electronic

I believe most pre-built coils are wrapped clockwise rather than CCW, but they'll work fine. You'll want a drill bit, or a nail, or a coil mandrel to help you align the coil, and a pair of short wire snips to trim off the excess on the coil legs (the part that gets captured under the grub screws).

You would still need to do your own wicks. I personally prefer cellucotton 100% rayon (available at local Sally's beauty supply shops or from Amazon -- make sure it's marked as Rayon), but others like cotton.

Thanks so much, Mark for this info. I need to get on you tube and start watching some instructional vids on this.
Are there any tanks that don't leak that you can buy premade heads and put them in or rebuild your own but have the option to buy ones already made ?
Im curious about that. I think it would nice to have the option.

No problem with 3FVape. It's where mine came from. If your items are in stock, they'll arrive within 10 days as a rule. At least, here in the sticks of MA, I get Gearbest, Fasttech, and 3FVape shipments in about 8 days.
If my favorite US vendors have stock and similar pricing, I'll use them. If not, one of the three Chinese shops.
I'm long since immune to 'Got to have it today!'

The OBS Engine Mini is factory coil. Same leakfree experience as the original Engine and the Nano.
I roll my own so don't own one, but have a couple on their way to friends who do not coil.

Things like the Smok TFV family would fit that approach (both pre--built and rebuildable heads). I have a couple of TFV4 minis -- there are multiple prebuilt head options, and the core kit comes with a rebuildable dual-coil head (I personally prefer their -r1 single coil rebuildable head, a $6 separate buy). Other vendors have similar options, though for a single-coil flavor tank the OBS Nano is likely better (a nicer design for single coil builds, super easy to build for and great flavor, albeit no pre-built option).

The is an Engine SUB and an Engine SUB mini which use 0.2 ohm factory coils. Look like the Engines, also have top airflow so no leaking, but I have no idea how good the coils are that come with it. There is also the Freemax Starre Pure that has top airflow, so no leaking, that uses their ceramic coils. I don't have it but have read many positive things about it from users.

I went the Bondhus screwdriver route. My hands thank me every time I use them instead of the L-shaped allen wrenches :)

I went with a Torx set. Now I have every imaginable hex and other odd shaped small screws and can service my own Phone if I knew what I was doing.:)

I won a Starre Pure, wouldn't PIF that one (it fell below my acceptable threshold). The ceramic coil heads on mine were pretty mediocre performers at best IIRC, just not a pleasant tank. (some things I try, then PIF, knowing they aren't for me but seem to be built/work well)

Maybe I got a "Monday Morning build", just an off unit.

I would get that set but I would only use 2 out of the 7 what would I do with the other 5? I'm still thinking about it.
