Its somewhere in between, not too high not too low. With some of the other RTA's you haveto get as close to the airflow as possible. In this case as the airflow is in the side, I guess its different. Any tips will be appreciated. Also using a 3.5 mm SS 316L coil. Around .75 Ohm. This thing drinks juice like theres no tomorrow.

I find my 2 normal drinkers.

I was using 3mm and up to 4mm coils until another member here suggested using a 2mm coil and I found the flavor even better. Try a 2mm coil and if yours has the off-set holes that hold the coil, keep it in the middle of the holes and see how it works. Also make sure you wind the coil counter clockwise to keep the leads short.

Still cant believe how well this is putting out. Bought nic'ed myself out at work last night chain vaping....lol. Took it apart to check the 2mm coil for gunking(just curious) and besides a little discoloring, its looking great!

Hope the Engine Mini RTA is just as good, ordered one of those and a Serpent Mini other day. And still waiting on an Avocado. I got it bad guys, my wallet pleaded with me not to do it, but I just couldnt help it. AND the Therion is still calling my name.....geeeez!

The included Clapton is Kanthal and measures out to approximately 0.35 ohms, if you are getting a 0.015 ohm reading then there is something shorted. Can you try it on a different mod or ohms reader?

It's the mod. Reads .4 on 1 mod and .38 on my Therion, so is my Tesla FUBAR or should I not worry too much?

I'm back to my standard 2.5mm ID txp 26awg kanthal coil, mounted as ricks notes above. The 316L 3mm performed really nicely, but I'll likely stay kanthal -- I have a boatload of it, and like the structural strength (tightly packed rayon is not a problem with that doubled-up wire)

I'm with @Heartsdelight on this. there's something wrong with that mod, you don't know what, and there's no point pushing your luck should something untoward happen.

Damn, this is the first time I've used it, too, and I forgot where I bought it. So backtracking begins...

As virtually everything comes from online, I find just a quick email search turns up the offending vendor and order. Without that I'd have no idea who sold me what.

Been conducting an email/order search and the usual vendors aren't showing that I bought the black one there, so I must have found it on sale somewhere. Now to dig out the silver one or finally learn how to control my Therion (the button controls confuse me, as I haven't used it yet). Either way, I just ordered a Baby Alien (AL85), as it's basically a Pico for 25mm tanks and I love the form factor... And here I thought I was done buying mods...

Play with the Therion. After a few minutes to get things down it's a great experience. If you need help setting it up, pop into one of the DNA threads on the temp control subforum. Steve, Wingsfan0310, is really helpful and has configuration files already set up if you have issues getting things set in eScribe.

Got Steve's profile loaded, but the button menus confuse me. I need a cheat sheet! BTW, do I need to take out the batteries and reboot the Therion for the profile to load or am I good?

Just tried another tank on my Tesla and it read the ohms correctly, reconnected the Engine Nano and it's reading the ohms on that coil correctly now.

Great! Saves you from having to hunt for the receipt. Don't you just love random glitches?

If you have all your profiles loaded it's all pretty easy.
1. Hold the up/down button until it flashes locked temp/watt (whatever mode it's in right now)
2. Press the up button twice. you now should see profile names.
3. use the up and down buttons to scroll through
4. when you've got the profile you want press fire
5. hold the up/down buttons again until you it flash unlocked temp/watt/whatever.
6. you're done

You should be able to adjust the temp to your preference now when in TC mode or watts when in power mode.

And no, you reboot the Therion from eScribe and only after you do something like a firmware update. To load your profiles onto the mod just click the "upload settings to device" button at the top of the eScribe window. If you don't click upload, whatever work you went into the profile will not be in the mod.

Also, from the file menu in eScribe you can save all your settings for the Therion as a backup. Great to have when you totally mess something up.

A reading of .4 and .38 are good, I am thinking the 510 post might be too long and shorting out the Tesla. Try a different tank on the Tesla and see if it reads it right.

Edit: Never Mind... ;)
