Another reason I don't like the giant holes is that I'm afraid of a big bug landing in there and the taste of it getting fried on my coil. Had that happen with a normal drip tip. Not good!
I'm going to have a nightmare about this now. Then I'm going to start carrying a 35-mm film canister bottom to put over my tank when I'm not holding it.Another reason I don't like the giant holes is that I'm afraid of a big bug landing in there and the taste of it getting fried on my coil. No I've actually had that happen, (the bug thing) more than a few times. it's disgusting and you have to at the very least take your rta apart and find where the bug landes, if it got near the coil it has to be replaced or my OCD won't let me vape it bc I'm afraid he crapped some spore pods or something onto there....Thats why you never lay your setup on a picnic table ants and honeybees like e juice lol

I can't express enough the difference in flavor when I switched to a fused Clapton
Coilart also has a bunch of different options, stuff like Half Staggered Fused Clapton.

First build. 2.5 mm single core clapton SS 26G/36 Kanthal .58 ohms running at 400degrees on VT75. KGD cotton
What wire profile are you using for TC on the mixed clapton?
Nice find! They have a chart. What does your coils ohm out to?Ok, a question for you clapton aficionados.
I vape TC using spaced coils. Normally a 6/7 or 7/8 wrap 3.5mm ID.
How many wraps would I need if I bought a set of these in 3.5mm ID.
I use (and love) SS 430, so if I were to try claptons, these would be ideal for the trial.

Target resistance always matters for safety!![]()
How do you do yours?after testing the Nano for the 1st time 2 days ago I'm surprised that some claimed muted flavor IMO it has to do with the way you build it & wick it if you build wick it properly it shines.
When it comes to flavor IMO I ranked the Exo 1st & the Nano 2nd.
The target resistance shouldn't really matter if vaping in TC in the first place. Pretty much all about surface area. I can build a .35 ohm 26/30 clapton with 5 wraps or I can build a
.85 ohm 28/36 Clapton and vape both at 435F and both work great. This is both with 3mm ID.
3mm ID Clapton coil @ 0.41 ohms close to the post & slightly higher than the post holes wicked with cotton tucked through the holes but not touching the base. How do you do yours?
It's all about "Heat Coefficient", even many using the steam engine site don't know how to use that feature. I also use two iPhone apps that show it.
