Seems to me that most reviews that I've seen say that it's not really a mtl. Who else is mtl with it?
I am, but then again I also mtl with Aromamizer Supremes and Ijoy Limitless atties :)

@ricks I know you don't like tall tanks because of your Napoleon Syndrome but you really should try the KFv5. I think you would really enjoy it.:D
I'm done with wrapping wire around screws... it's so old school. Nothing beats or is easier than a duel post mounting system.

New found appreciation (as if I needed it..lol) for the Nano. Got my Avocado24 and Engine Mini in. Both I am struggling with wicking. Avocado24, im choking it. The Engine Mini, flooding AND choking....cant find a happy medium. Beginners luck maybe, but with this Nano it seems I can do no wrong. Wish the other 2 were so easy....ok, time to shovel snow, got dumped on.

It's just the best man... I love this tank. Great Flavor!!! I have no interest in any other tank currently out there.

On the avocado 24, I run a 2.5mm ID single coil, rayon wick. If the rayon is reasonably tight in the coil, you don't need to do much other than fluff the tails a little, cut a slight taper and shorten the tails so the tails are just poking through the deck.

The Avocado 24 now there's quiet the RDTA...

The best way I found to solve the problems with wicking and other things with it, was to give it away. Never had a problem since.

Im pretty much in the same boat. The Avocado peaked my interest, but its turning out to be crap. I really wanted the Engine Mini to work out for my Pico. I got it where its performing a lot better, but nothing even close to the Nano. But I just opened up my Serpent Mini, let me tell ya, it is on par with the Nano! Perfect for my Pico!

The Av24 was all I used for six months, consistently excellent in single coil mode. Great flavor, easy to build, no leaking or dry hits. Maybe it's because I use rayon, getting good wicking was never an issue.

For the Pico, the Ammit is also a good fit (22mm), and higher capacity than the Serpent mini. The Ammit is also really good for flavor.

The nano is what I'm using when not squonking these days because I like the combination of capacity, excellent flavor, and super easy fill.

Ok, anyone have a TL;DR wicking with rayon?
If I'm going to try claptons, may as well change that as well.
I can always return to the arms of my cotton wicked single wire mistress.
in my experience the wick has to be really tight unless you like rice krispies.

Yes, rayon needs to be tight in the coil, you should feel some resistance when pulling it through. Rayon doesn't expand like cotton when wet - you need the rayon to be contacting the coil.

Conversely, it does wick really well, so you can thin the tails a lot and still get plenty of liquid.

On the Nano, with my 2.5 mm ID coil, I fluff the tails and then cut off about half of the thickness, stuff what's left into the two eliquid holes. I could probably thin them even more, but it's good enough for me.

I'm using the Rayon in my 2 tanks like you said and it's working great so far. I refilled both tanks today and the flavor is still great. How long can they last?

Some folks on the main rayon thread go up to several hundred ml before changing wicks. I don't go for longevity, change wicks every 50ml and coils every 100. (My txp kanthal coils are very cheap and easy to make, and cellucotton wicks are super low cost, a couple of cents.)
