I had a hard time with the wicking on this, as with TC you really see when the wicking isn't optimal and the wattage is dropped. For me, 3.5mm SS316L 9 wrap spaced, in height of post holes and placed where the wick-holes is matching the coil ends. Tight wick which is fluffed out to remove some density with pointy twezzers and cut at the inner base, so very short. If less long coil, then even shorter cut. The wick is just going lightly into top of the holes, but just maybe a mm down and not into the bottom. Finally I have steady stable TC/wicking now. Though, the flavor isn't anything to rave about to me personally, but I use unflavored, so don't care much and just wants a nic hit and something to inhale. 45 watts roughly here. Filing it should be done quickly and not overly done, as else slight flooding afterwards, but just for 10 pulls or so and then fine. I like it alot :)
Yeah, I found it's not that good with TC, it was constantly on temp protect, best thing I found was to lay the wicks on top of the hole rather than stick them through.

My 30 second sponge bath technique. Take off the deck. Go in the kitchen and yank out the old wick and toss in the can. Rinse in sink. Pat dry. Mount back on 521 tab. Resistance the same? Good. Dry burn (gently). Pop it off. Rinse under water again. Pat dry. Remount, check the resistance is the same and then rewick.

Takes longer to read than actually do.

Think I'll stick with my twisted kanthal [emoji5]. Good contact area with the wick, good flavor after doing my new rayon wick pulsing, easy to wrap. I only run 50 ml through, replace the wick, 50 more, then drop on a new coil. With the coil master I can make a new coil quicker than doing several wash/rinse/dry rounds, and 4" of wire is a trivial cost.

Temp protect isn't an error screen. It's actually an info screen to know you hit the target temp and the board is keeping it there.

Yeah I know but it's easy to tell when your getting an anemic vape and temp protect all the time that something is not wicking properly.

That is a problem. And yeah, if it's going right into temp protect, it's not wicking well. That it's not even getting to temp makes it even more annoying. What mod is this happening on?

It would of been a 75 or 250, all my mods are dna's, so they all work the same/have the same profiles

I didn't check it hooked up to escribe like that, but I rewicked it with the tails sitting on top instead of poked through and it did better

That's how I wick the dual. I get the end to just sit in the hole without really passing through to the bottom. It wicks well, with no flooding, and a bit moist the first one or two draws after refilling and then settles right down.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got out a Merlin and built that and the nano and filled both with the new batch of lemonade liquid. There was definitely something wrong with the last batch but I'm still not getting the flavor I want out of the lemonade with the nano so I dumped the nano and am going to try my TriBeCa clone in it.
