That's not going to be very TC-friendly though, the kanthal will bring the tcr down too much and SS is low to begin with, use a different core, like NiFe52.

If you make a Clapton with a SS inner core, the wrap contributes essentially very little to barely at all, to the resistance, so you can wrap with SS, Kanthal, or NiChrome and not have any issues with TC on those builds. Normally I wouldn't do it as it offers no advantage to build that way and just stay with SS, but you could do it if you wanted to (not sure why you would, but you could).

I use 2 -2.5mm SS coils. 100% PG and run mine at 10-12 watts for my MTL vaping.

SS fused clapton, .5ohm at 40 watts, mostly 70/30 VG/PG juice, but it wicks 100% VG just fine as well.

I had a friend give me a length of Clapton that was like that, had nothing but trouble with it and I only have dna's, kept hopping in & out of tc and the only time ive had that happen before was when the wire is too far out of spec with the tfr range being used... but I was using a custom csv for that wire, so the outer claptoned wire must still affect it.

anywho I picked up one of these for my gf at a going out of business sale, she needed an easy one and a beater so I was wanting to get her the dual coil but she wanted the single... but I'm having some issues with it, the vape feels anemic and the flavors not there... what did you guys use for plugging up the back hole?

This is how im doing the coil...

That's her beater setup, I looked for the black one but this one was only 10 bucks. Not sure if it's a clone or what but it's identical to the other one I had.

I've stayed with twisted 26 kanthal, 2.5mm ID, center of coil lined up between the two post holes (a bit lower than it looks like in your photo), spaced from the two posts so the coil is also centered above the two eliquid wells. I do wick with rayon, no idea if that makes a difference.. I've had consistently solid flavor/vapor with that approach; my office setup is a Therion BF/Hadaly, and I'm quite content when I switch the the SDNA DNA75/OBS Nano for evenings or weekends (beater setup on a lanyard -- the SDNA/OBS has taken a pounding).

That is what a lot of us have found with the nano, anemic vape with no flavor. ccwaters did a lot of experimenting with builds and airflow blocking to no avail.

I hope you are able to find a build that works for you.

I think so. The tank is dry on the sides and the bottom. The outside of the mod is dry. There's only liquid inside the battery compartment and in the 510 connection.
My guess is possibly one of the posts has lifted some??? Does either of the posts look higher?
